LEADING THROUGH INNOVATION

Global networks, cyber defense, and solving complex computational issues are
central to the work of computer science, and right now, it’s a great time to be
part of this exciting field.

Demand for IT professionals is growing faster than universities can produce
graduates, and the discipline of computing continues to push the boundaries of
what is possible. We are discovering new ideas, building new kinds of systems,
and bringing new tools into the home, school, and office.

If you want to be in the thick of the intellectual excitement that’s changing
every other discipline, then computer science is the place to be. At UNI, you’ll
be surrounded by professors who are immersed in this excitement, and dedicated
to student achievement. Our students work closely with professors to explore
computing, learn skills they can use in the marketplace, and conduct research
that expands the field.

gaining professional experience, and honing your leadership skills. Our
department is home to four clubs, including: Cedar Valley Linux User Group,
Women in Computing, UNI Computer Club, and our Cyber Security Club.
