CheaperPay was one of only two providers able to accommodate my request to retain my existing card machine as I am in a long-term contract with my card machine. Hugo and Lucas were excellent to deal with throughout. I will review again as regards CheaperPay's ongoing customer service sometime in the future. A lot of reviews mention Hugo, so we were delighted when he answered the telephone on our first call. Since then, we’ve been treated as if we were his only customers. Nothing has been too much trouble and the installation has been seamless and easy in consequence. It’s sadly unusual these days to receive good service - Hugo and Cheaperpay aren’t good, they’re amazing. Very highly recommended. Card reader didn’t work properly. I judge a company not by its failure but how quickly the problem was sorted. I had a replacement reader by 9 am the next day approx 12 hours. Not had any further issues. Hugo provided all the info we needed without any of the sales talk we were getting elsewhere! With most of the application done over the phone we were supported through the set-up process and up and running with a new card reader the same week. We have now been trading for six weeks, and all is great and works and costs exactly as expected and as promised. This was frustrating. Not only for us, but also for the customers of our in-the-middle-of-nowhere pub. There was a lot of toing and froing between CheaperPay and AIB regarding proofs of ID and address. Maybe the bank could set out a clear list of acceptable items? This would’ve made the whole process much smoother and saved the staff at CheaperPay a lot of hassle. I was kept in the loop the whoop way through though. Which was much appreciated.
