For a small police department like St. Johnsville, the chief is responsible for
both administrative operations and day-to-day field work. It's part of what
attracted Chad Manley to the job. "In order to serve the community, we need to
be a part of the community as much as possible, and be able to retain our
officers and attract new officers," Manley said. The 40-year-old is his second
full month as the new police chief. He was appointed at a special village board
meeting in late August. Manley worked on Herkimer's local force for 16 years —
nine as an investigator.…

BLEECKER — Family members of a 46-year-old Bleecker man are now offering $20,000
for any information connected to his untimely death last fall. Steve O'Donnell
was found dead with severe wounds at his Bleecker home on Oct. 28, 2022. The
case is still being investigated by the Fulton County Sheriff's Department. A
$15,000 reward was originally set in the late summer in order to uncover what
family members believe to be a homicide. They're hoping the extra $5,000 will
bear fruit. "We want justice for him," said Maureen Launer, O'Donnell's sister.
"We're not letting this go." Neither Sheriff Richard Giardino…

Broadalbin-Perth freshman Ezra Johnson works at three different local businesses

He achieves the fast-paced feat through the school’s life skills program. “I
just enjoy getting out to meet new people and you’re not doing the same work
each and every day, I like doing something different,” Johnson said. At
Broadalbin-Perth Jr./Sr. High School, students with disabilities are given the
chance to learn beyond the bounds of a classroom. The life skills program
bridges the gap between academia and the everyday world, giving students a
