ABOUT ME

tl;dr: I’m a creator. Can’t stop making things.

Short backstory:

At Wheaton College Conservatory of Music in IL, (2001) I studied composition
with Howard Whitaker, writing in many styles. I completed a piano concerto,
choral music, chamber music, as well as experimental music with custom made
instruments. I developed a love of creative writing and poetry as a college
student. I learned how to finish things.

After college, I smashed the drums in a hard rock band with my brother, toured
and performed, recorded and produced songs in studios, and eventually ran a
production company with him. I later co-founded the Murrieta Academy of Music in
Murreita, CA.

Dad-life impending, I attended Azusa Pacific University and earned a MA Ed
Digital Teaching and Learning degree (2012) and became a credentialed teacher in
Social Science and Music. I currently work as a high school assistant principal
at Temescal Canyon High in Lake Elsinore, CA and enjoy working with all kinds of
characters.

I’m happiest with my wife and three kids and when I’m creating, whether it be
music, art, poetry, or fiction (oh yeah, don’t forget self-aggrandizing
websites).
