PRIVACY POLICY OF MATILLION

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how and when Matillion Limited
(“Matillion”, “we”, “us” and/or “our”) collects, uses and shares your personal
data (“you” or “User”) when you use the website (“www.Matillion.com”) and/or
communicate with Matillion through another contact channel (collectively, the
“Services”).

Matillion, with its address at Matillion Limited, Two New Bailey, Stanley
Street, Salford, M3 5GS, is the Data Controller of your Personal Data. When you
use our Services, you acknowledge that we will handle your Personal Data as
described in this Privacy Policy, therefore we recommend that you read it

1. THE PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU

Among the types of Personal Data that Matillion collects, by itself or through
third parties, there are: via automated technologies (including details of your
domain name, IP address, operating system and browser); Usage Data; other unique
device identifiers for advertising (Google Advertiser ID or IDFA, for example);
email address; first name; last name; phone number; country/location; company
name; details of an enquiry you send to us.

Complete details on each type of Personal Data collected are provided in the
dedicated sections of this privacy policy or by specific explanation texts
displayed prior to the Data collection.

Personal Data may be freely provided by the User, or, in case of Usage Data,
collected automatically when using our Services.

Please note that a failure to provide personal data may affect how Matillion
provides its Services. In cases where Matillion specifically states that some
Data is not mandatory, Users are free not to communicate this Data without
consequences to the availability or the functioning of the Service.

Users who are uncertain about which Personal Data is mandatory are welcome to
contact Matillion.

Any use of Cookies – or of other tracking tools – by Matillion or by the owners
of third-party services used by Matillion serves the purpose of providing the
Service required by the User, in addition to any other purposes described in the
present document and in the Cookie Policy, if available.

2. DATA STORAGE

The personal data that we, or our third party service providers, collect from
you may be stored in the United Kingdom and/or European Economic Area (“EEA”) as
well as being transferred to a destination outside the United Kingdom and the
EEA, such as to the United States and Canada. These locations may not provide
the same protections as the data protection laws in the United Kingdom and/or
EEA. Where the country we transfer your personal data to outside the United
Kingdom or the EEA is not already recognised by the relevant authorities as
providing adequate protection, we will implement appropriate safeguards (such as
the European Commission approved standard contractual clauses) to govern such
transfers, pursuant to applicable data protection laws. Matillion will take all
steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your Personal Data is treated securely
and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you require further information,

3. DATA RETENTION

Personal Data shall be processed and stored for as long as required by the
purpose they have been collected for.

Therefore:

 * Personal Data collected for purposes related to the performance of a contract
   between Matillion and the User shall be retained until such contract has been
   fully performed.
 * Personal Data collected for the purposes of Matillion’s legitimate interests
   shall be retained as long as needed to fulfil such purposes. Users may find
   specific information regarding the legitimate interests pursued by Matillion
   within the relevant sections of this document or by contacting the Owner.
 * Personal Data which is processed for the purpose of complying with a legal
   obligation, will be retained for as long as is permitted by applicable laws. 

Matillion may be allowed to retain Personal Data for a longer period whenever
the User has given consent to such processing, as long as such consent is not
withdrawn. 

Once the retention period expires, Personal Data shall be deleted. 

4. HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Under applicable data protection laws, we are required to specify the legal
basis under which we are allowed to process your personal data. Generally, we
may process your personal data to enter into contract with you or in relation to
pre-contractual obligations, for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal
claims or proceedings and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations,
for our legitimate interests or when we have your consent. Personal Data is
collected for the following purposes and using the following services:

(I) ADVERTISING

This type of service allows User Data to be utilized for advertising
communication purposes displayed in the form of banners and other advertisements
on Matillion, possibly based on User interests. 
This does not mean that all Personal Data is used for this purpose. Information
and conditions of use are shown below. 
Some of the services listed below may use Cookies to identify Users or they may
use the behavioral retargeting technique, i.e. displaying ads tailored to the
User’s interests and behavior, including those detected outside Matillion. For
more information, please check the privacy policies of the relevant services.

In addition to any opt-out offered by any of the services below, the User may
opt out of a third-party service’s use of cookies for certain advertising
features by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

Users may also opt-out of certain advertising features through applicable device
settings, such as the device advertising settings for mobile phones or ads
settings in general.

GOOGLE AD MANAGER

Google Ad Manager is an advertising service provided by Google LLC or by Google
Ireland Limited, depending on the location Matillion is accessed from, that
allows Matillion to run advertising campaigns in conjunction with external
advertising networks that the Owner, unless otherwise specified in this
document, has no direct relationship with. In order to opt out from being
tracked by various advertising networks, Users may make use
of Youronlinechoices. In order to understand Google’s use of data,
consult Google’s partner policy. 
This service uses the “DoubleClick” Cookie, which tracks use of Matillion and
User behavior concerning ads, products and services offered.

Users may decide to disable all the DoubleClick Cookies by going to: Google Ad

FACEBOOK AUDIENCE NETWORK (FACEBOOK, INC.)

Facebook Audience Network is an advertising service provided by Facebook,
Inc. In order to understand Facebook’s use of Data, consult Facebook’s data
policy.

Matillion may use identifiers for mobile devices (including Android Advertising
ID or Advertising Identifier for iOS, respectively) and technologies similar to
cookies to run the Facebook Audience Network service. One of the ways Audience
Network shows ads is by using the User’s ad preferences. The User can control
this in the Facebook ad settings.

Users may opt-out of certain Audience Network targeting through applicable
device settings, such as the device advertising settings for mobile phones or by
following the instructions in other Audience Network related sections of this
privacy policy, if available.

FACEBOOK LOOKALIKE AUDIENCE (FACEBOOK, INC.)

Facebook Lookalike Audience is an advertising and behavioral targeting service
provided by Facebook, Inc. that uses Data collected through Facebook Custom
Audience in order to display ads to Users with similar behavior to Users who are
already in a Custom Audience list on the base of their past use of Matillion or
engagement with relevant content across the Facebook apps and services. 
On the base of this Data, personalized ads will be shown to Users suggested by
Facebook Lookalike Audience.

GOOGLE ADS SIMILAR AUDIENCES

Similar audiences is an advertising and behavioral targeting service provided by
Google LLC or by Google Ireland Limited, depending on the location Matillion is
accessed from, that uses Data from Google Ads Remarketing in order to display
ads to Users with similar behavior to Users who are already on the remarketing
list due to their past use of Matillion. 
On the basis of this Data, personalized ads will be shown to Users suggested by
Google Ads Similar audiences.

Users who don’t want to be included in Similar audiences can opt out and disable
the use of advertising cookies by going to: Google Ad Settings.

web traffic and can be used to keep track of User behavior.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS

Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google LLC or by Google
Ireland Limited, depending on the location Matillion is accessed from,
(“Google”). Google utilizes the Personal Data collected to track and examine the
use of Matillion, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other
Google services. 
Google may use the Personal Data collected to contextualize and personalize the
ads of its own advertising network.

FACEBOOK ADS CONVERSION TRACKING (FACEBOOK PIXEL) (FACEBOOK, INC.)

Facebook Ads conversion tracking (Facebook pixel) is an analytics service
provided by Facebook, Inc. that connects data from the Facebook advertising
network with actions performed on Matillion. The Facebook pixel tracks
conversions that can be attributed to ads on Facebook, Instagram and Audience
Network.

WordPress Stats is an analytics service provided by Automattic Inc.

(III) CONTENT COMMENTING

Content commenting services allow Users to make and publish their comments on
the contents of Matillion. 
Depending on the settings chosen by Matillion, Users may also leave anonymous
comments. If there is an email address among the Personal Data provided by the
User, it may be used to send notifications of comments on the same content.
Users are responsible for the content of their own comments. 
If a content commenting service provided by third parties is installed, it may
still collect web traffic data for the pages where the comment service is
installed, even when Users do not use the content commenting service.

FACEBOOK COMMENTS (FACEBOOK, INC.)

Facebook Comments is a content commenting service provided by Facebook, Inc.
enabling the User to leave comments and share them on the Facebook platform.

(IV) DISPLAYING CONTENT FROM EXTERNAL PLATFORMS

This type of service allows you to view content hosted on external platforms
directly from the pages of Matillion and interact with them. 
This type of service might still collect web traffic data for the pages where
the service is installed, even when Users do not use it.

WISTIA WIDGET (WISTIA, INC.)

Wistia is a video content visualization service provided by Wistia, Inc. that
allows Matillion to incorporate content of this kind on its pages.

(V) HEAT MAPPING AND SESSION RECORDING

Heat mapping services are used to display the areas of a page where Users most
frequently move the mouse or click. This shows where the points of interest are.
These services make it possible to monitor and analyze web traffic and keep
track of User behavior. 
Some of these services may record sessions and make them available for later
visual playback.

CRAZY EGG (CRAZYEGG)

Crazy Egg is a heat mapping service provided by Crazy Egg, Inc.

(VI) INFRASTRUCTURE MONITORING

This type of service allows Matillion to monitor the use and behavior of its
components so its performance, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting can be
improved. 
Which Personal Data are processed depends on the characteristics and mode of
implementation of these services, whose function is to filter the activities of
Matillion.

NEW RELIC (NEW RELIC)

New Relic is a monitoring service provided by New Relic Inc. 
The way New Relic is integrated means that it filters all traffic of Matillion,
i.e., communication between the Application and the User’s browser or device,
while also allowing analytical data on Matillion to be collected.

(VII) INTERACTION WITH EXTERNAL SOCIAL NETWORKS AND PLATFORMS

This type of service allows interaction with social networks or other external
platforms directly from the pages of Matillion. 
The interaction and information obtained through Matillion are always subject to
the User’s privacy settings for each social network. 
This type of service might still collect traffic data for the pages where the
service is installed, even when Users do not use it. 
It is recommended to log out from the respective services in order to make sure
that the processed data on Matillion isn’t being connected back to the User’s
profile.

LINKEDIN BUTTON AND SOCIAL WIDGETS (LINKEDIN CORPORATION)

The LinkedIn button and social widgets are services allowing interaction with
the LinkedIn social network provided by LinkedIn Corporation.

The Twitter Tweet button and social widgets are services allowing interaction
with the Twitter social network provided by Twitter, Inc.

(VIII) MANAGING CONTACTS AND SENDING MESSAGES

This type of service makes it possible to manage a database of email contacts,
phone contacts or any other contact information to communicate with the User. 
These services may also collect data concerning the date and time when the
message was viewed by the User, as well as when the User interacted with it,
such as by clicking on links included in the message.

MARKETO EMAIL MARKETING (MARKETO, INC.)

Marketo Email Marketing is an email address management and message sending
service provided by Marketo, Inc.

(IX) MANAGING LANDING AND INVITATION PAGES

This type of service helps with building and managing landing and invitation
pages, i.e., pages for presenting a product or service, where you may add your
contact information such as an email address. 
Managing these pages means that these services will handle the Personal Data
collected through the pages, including Usage Data.

UNBOUNCE (UNBOUNCE MARKETING SOLUTIONS INC.)

Unbounce is a landing page management service provided by Unbounce Marketing
Solutions Inc., that allows Matillion to collect the email addresses of Users
interested in its service. 
Unbounce allows Matillion to track and analyze the User response concerning web
traffic or behavior regarding changes to the structure, text or any other
component of the created landing pages.

(X) PLATFORM SERVICES AND HOSTING

These services have the purpose of hosting and running key components of
Matillion, therefore allowing the provision of Matillion from within a unified
platform. Such platforms provide a wide range of tools to Matillion– e.g.
analytics, user registration, commenting, database management, e-commerce,
payment processing – that imply the collection and handling of Personal Data. 
Some of these services work through geographically distributed servers, making
it difficult to determine the actual location where the Personal Data is stored.

WORDPRESS.COM (AUTOMATTIC INC.)

WordPress.com is a platform provided by Automattic Inc. that allows Matillion to
build, run and host Matillion.

(XI) REMARKETING AND BEHAVIORAL TARGETING

This type of service allows Matillion and its partners to inform, optimize and
serve advertising based on past use of Matillion by the User. 
This activity is performed by tracking Usage Data and by using Cookies,
information that is transferred to the partners that manage the remarketing and
behavioral targeting activity. 
Some services offer a remarketing option based on email address lists. 
In addition to any opt-out offered by any of the services below, the User may
opt out of a third-party service’s use of cookies for certain remarketing

DEMANDBASE

AUTOMATIC DATA COLLECTION

DEMANDBASE SITES.

Demandbase collects data from you automatically when you visit Demandbase Sites
through the use of web beacons and cookies. We automatically receive data from
your browser, including the Tag Data (described below) in addition to other data
we use to manage and optimize our website. For more details on the cookies we
use, visit our Cookie Policy. For customers with access to the Demandbase ABM
Platform, we collect transactional information about usage, such as
authentication, analytics, and other information to provide the ABM Platform.
Demandbase also deploys its own technology on Demandbase Sites, which may enable
it to provide you with a more personalized experience when you visit Demandbase
Sites.

DEMANDBASE TECHNOLOGY AND PARTNER SITES.

When Demandbase technology is deployed on a Partner Site, the Demandbase ABM
Platform automatically receives data from the Partner Site through the use of
web beacons, and in certain configurations, through the use of tracking pixels
and cookies (“Tag Data”). For Partner Sites, we automatically collect Tag Data
from your browser. Some of the Tag Data collected may be considered personal
data in your jurisdiction, such as IP address and online identifiers (cookies)
and some may be considered non-personal information, such as browser version,
operating system, pages viewed from a site where Demandbase Technology is
deployed, and timestamps.

DEMANDBASE ADVERTISING SOLUTIONS.

For its advertising solutions, Demandbase automatically receives data from its
publisher and supply partners when it decides on whether to provide an ad to an
end-user. Some of the information Demandbase receives may be considered personal
information in your jurisdiction, such as online identifiers, location, and IP
address and some may be considered non-personal information, such as browser
version, operating system, pages viewed, and timestamps.

In some cases or in specific jurisdictions, the Demandbase Sites, Partner Sites,
or other third-party sites on which we display ads may only permit the
Demandbase Technology to receive data from you after you provide consent to
cookies or the use of Demandbase Technology.

LINKEDIN WEBSITE RETARGETING (LINKEDIN CORPORATION)

LinkedIn Website Retargeting is a remarketing and behavioral targeting service
provided by LinkedIn Corporation that connects the activity of Matillion with
the LinkedIn advertising network.

(XII) TAG MANAGEMENT

This type of service helps Matillion to manage the tags or scripts needed on
Matillion in a centralized fashion. 
This results in the Users’ Data flowing through these services, potentially
resulting in the retention of this Data.

Google Ireland Limited, depending on the location Matillion is accessed from.

(XIII) USER DATABASE MANAGEMENT

This type of service allows Matillion to build user profiles by starting from an
email address, a personal name, or other information that the User provides to
Matillion, as well as to track User activities through analytics features. This
Personal Data may also be matched with publicly available information about the
User (such as social networks’ profiles) and used to build private profiles that
Matillion can display and use for improving Matillion. 
Some of these services may also enable the sending of timed messages to the
User, such as emails based on specific actions performed on Matillion.

Marketo Lead Generation is a User database management service provided by
Marketo, Inc.

5. YOUR RIGHTS 

(I) RIGHT YOU MAY EXERCISE 

Users may exercise certain rights regarding their Personal Data processed by
Matillion.

In particular, Users have the right to do the following:

 * Withdraw their consent at any time. Users have the right to withdraw consent
   where they have previously given their consent to the processing of their
   Personal Data.
 * Object to processing of their Data. Users have the right to object to the
   processing of their Personal Data if the processing is carried out on a legal
   basis other than consent. Further details are provided in the dedicated
   section below.
 * Access their Personal Data. Users have the right to learn if Personal Data is
   being processed by Matillion, obtain disclosure regarding certain aspects of
   the processing and obtain a copy of the Data undergoing processing.
 * Verify and seek rectification. Users have the right to verify the accuracy of
   their Personal Data and ask for it to be updated or corrected.
 * Restrict the processing of their Personal Data. Users may have the right,
   under certain circumstances, to restrict the processing of their Personal
   Data. In this case, Matillion will not process their Personal Data for any
   purpose other than storing it.
 * Have their Personal Data deleted or otherwise removed. Users may have the
   right, under certain circumstances, to obtain the erasure of their Personal
   Data from Matillion.
 * Receive their Personal Data and have it transferred to another
   controller. Users have the right to receive their Personal Data in a
   structured, commonly used and machine readable format and, if technically
   feasible, to have it transmitted to another controller without any hindrance.
   This provision is applicable provided that the Personal Data is processed by
   automated means and that the processing is based on the User’s consent, on a
   contract which the User is part of or on pre-contractual obligations thereof.
 * Lodge a complaint. Users have the right to bring a claim before their local
   data protection authority.

(II) DETAILS ABOUT THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO PROCESSING

Where Personal Data is processed for a public interest, in the exercise of an
official authority vested in Matillion or for the purposes of the legitimate
interests pursued by Matillion, Users may object to such processing by providing
a ground related to their particular situation to justify the objection.

Users must know however, that should their Personal Data be processed for direct
marketing purposes, they can object to that processing at any time without
providing any justification. To learn whether Matillion is processing Personal
Data for direct marketing purposes, Users may refer to the relevant sections of
this document.

(III) HOW TO EXERCISE THESE RIGHTS

Any requests to exercise User rights can be directed to Matillion through the
contact details provided in this document. These requests can be exercised free
of charge and will be addressed by Matillion as early as possible and always
within one month.

We may disclose Personal Data as we deem necessary and appropriate under
applicable laws, such as to comply with a subpoena, bankruptcy proceedings, or
similar legal process; in response to lawful requests by public, governmental
and regulatory authorities.

(II) DATA SHARING 

We may share your personal data with the following:

 * Third party service providers: Third parties who provide services to us have
   access to your Personal Data; for example, we engage providers for operation
   and maintenance purposes, to support our use of automated technologies (as
   described above in this Privacy Policy), hosting and cloud computing service
   and other IT services in addition to other administrative services, legal
   services and marketing service providers. 
 * Business transfers. We may disclose and transfer your information and data to
   a third party: (a) if we assign our rights regarding any of the information

Matillion does not support “Do Not Track” requests.

Matillion reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time
by giving notice to its Users on this page  and/or – as far as technically and
legally feasible – sending a notice to Users via any contact information
available to Matillion. It is strongly recommended to check this page often,
referring to the date of the last modification listed at the bottom.

Should the changes affect processing activities performed on the basis of the
User’s consent, Matillion shall collect new consent from the User, where
required.

PERSONAL DATA (OR DATA)

Any information that directly, indirectly, or in connection with other
information — including a personal identification number — allows for the
identification or identifiability of a natural person.

USAGE DATA

Information collected automatically through Matillion (or third-party services
employed in Matillion), which can include: the IP addresses or domain names of
the computers utilized by the Users who use Matillion, the URI addresses
(Uniform Resource Identifier), the time of the request, the method utilized to
submit the request to the server, the size of the file received in response, the
numerical code indicating the status of the server’s answer (successful outcome,
error, etc.), the country of origin, the features of the browser and the
operating system utilized by the User, the various time details per visit (e.g.,
the time spent on each page within the Application) and the details about the
path followed within the Application with special reference to the sequence of
pages visited, and other parameters about the device operating system and/or the
User’s IT environment.

USER

The individual using Matillion who, unless otherwise specified, coincides with
the Data Subject.

DATA SUBJECT

The natural person to whom the Personal Data refers.

DATA PROCESSOR (OR DATA SUPERVISOR)

The natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which
processes Personal Data on behalf of the Controller, as described in this
privacy policy.

DATA CONTROLLER

The natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which, alone
or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of
Personal Data, including the security measures concerning the operation and use
of Matillion. The Data Controller, unless otherwise specified, is Matillion.

MATILLION (OR THIS APPLICATION)

The means by which the Personal Data of the User is collected and processed.

SERVICE

The service provided by Matillion as described in the relative terms (if
available) and on this site/application.

EUROPEAN UNION (OR EU)

Unless otherwise specified, all references made within this document to the
European Union include all current member states to the European Union and the
European Economic Area.

Small sets of data stored in the User’s device.

This Privacy Policy has been prepared based on provisions of multiple
legislations, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection
Regulation) and the GDPR in such form as incorporated into the law of England
