6. HOW DO I HANDLE THE STICKY ADHESIVE FILM?
Using an excessive amount of water solution (16oz. water + 8 drops liquid
soap) will make handling the film easy. Spraying soapy water on the adhesive
as your pull off the liner will prevent it being too sticky.
HOW DO I SEPARATE BACKING LINER FROM THE FILM?
To remove the liner, use two pieces of tape, and attach them on both sides
of one corner facing each other. Press the tape together, and then slowly
separate the two pieces.
DO I INSTALL THE FILM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE?
Most window film are installed inside unless it is specified as "Exterior
Film".

PRODUKTINFORMATION
Enjoy a nice shade through that one window that's always exposed to too much
sunlight with BDF's Natural 5 window film. With an extra dark, traditional black
color, the NA05 gives your window a classic, tinted look that makes it appear
naturally darker. While the dark, black tint adds both privacy and shade to your
lifestyle during the day when the sun brightly shines on the window, it does not
completely black out the window and you will still be able to see through it.
The quality of our window films allows good visibility so that the film will not
blur or obstruct your view of the outside scenery while embodying the
traditional definition of what a window tint should be. Films are made in Korea.
EXTRA DARK BLACK TINT
BDF NA05 has so many features to offer such as heat control, reducing cooling
cost, blocking UV rays, and daytime privacy. The extra dark black tint of the
NA05 helps reduce glare. The number "05" in its name refers to the fact that it
is rated to transmit about 5% of visible light. This film is not recommended for
dual pane windows.
The NA05's black-tone nature gives it an excellent heat-rejecting rate of up to
55% that keeps the interior of your home or office building nice and cool. By
maintaining your room at a cool, moderate temperature, resulting in lower
cooling costs, you can promote a more environmentally aware lifestyle by
reducing energy usage and help create a greener world.
The NA05 has the benefit of preventing onlookers outside from looking through
your window while maintaining visibility from inside during the day. Its
darkness makes it difficult for unwanted eyes to see what's happening inside.
Daytime privacy means it will provide you perfect privacy until sunset time.
Even with its dark property, the NA05 still will provide a daytime view out the
window.
The effect of any daytime privacy window film will greatly depend on the
lighting conditions, because the side exposed to more light will become more
reflective and harder to see through. This is why the privacy effect works so
well during the day, and almost not at all at night, since the sun usually makes
the exterior of your building much, much brighter than the interior. The use of
curtains or blinds will be needed for nighttime privacy.
Good for homes and office buildings that are directly exposed to the sun which
is the source of the UV rays, the NA05 window film provides an excellent UV
blocking barrier. Being exposed to UV rays can cause skin problems such as
premature aging skin and signs of wrinkles as well as eye problems. The NA05
film rejects about 99% of the UV rays, helping to reduce fading on your precious
furniture, pictures, or other UV-sensitive belongings.
Our products come with tools needed to get your job done, and an installation
guide is included to help you with a smooth installation process. With the right
amount of care, practice, and patience, both installation and removal of the
film should be simple and easy. Whether your windows are small, big, wide, or
narrow, our products come in a variety of sizes to suit your individual needs.
It is usually recommended and necessary that you have more than enough film to
cover the window.
CLEANING THE WINDOWS
It is best to clean the window with a window scraper before any installation.
Using the window scraper and soapy solution all over the window will clean it of
any caked-on dirt that wiping will not remove. You can use the installation
solution to also clean the window as well as any non-ammonia-based cleaners. It
is recommended to clean the surrounding area of the glass, like the frame and
seals before installation too. Using a no lint or low lint cloth will ensure the
glass will be free of any dust.
REMOVING THE BACKING LINER
Attach one piece of tape to a corner of the film. Then use another piece of tape
on the other side of the same corner. Both tapes should be placed slightly
offset. Hold onto the two overhanging tapes and press them together to grab the
film's corner tip firmly. Then slowly separate the two pieces of tape; the liner
and film should separate. As you gently pull the liner away, spray on the
exposed adhesive side. This will prevent the film from sticking to itself or to
anything else.
WETTING THE FILM & WINDOW
Spray, spray, and spray more! You need to spray a lot and make the film fully
wet and almost flooded on the film and the window glass surface. Please remember
that the fully wet window and the film are the key factors for your successful
installation without bubbles. To handle the film easier when separating the film
and the liner, spray soapy water liberally on the exposed adhesive side as you
pull off the liner. This will eliminate potential wrinkles and bubbles during or
after installation.
REMOVING THE FILM WHEN NEEDED
Installed adhesive window films can be removed even after years. You need to
soften the cured or hardened adhesive of the film to remove the film. A fabric
steamer or a heat gun can heat up the film and loosen the adhesive. Using a hair
dryer can heat up the film to loosen the adhesive, but it will take longer. If
there is remaining adhesive residue, clean it with soapy water and a razor
blade. The static cling film doesn't have adhesive and can be removed by hand.

My bedroom is on the second floor and the large double window faces the rising
sun; it gets unbearably hot unless I close the curtains. I used this one way
film to tone down the light and heat without having the curtains drawn all day
and still being able to see.There’s a little learning curve to working with this
film, I did it solo but it would definitely be easier with two people. As long
as you cut it slightly larger than each window and keep the window wet with
soapy water you can reposition the film easily. The upper part of my windows
were challenging with the curve, I just started from the bottom, flat part and
worked my way up.I give myself a 90/100 on my first try. I didn’t cut the edges
perfectly, there are a couple slight gaps of less than 1mm, but nothing that’s
gonna make me buy more to try again. It’s only visible in the contrasting light,
and doesn’t actually cast sunlight inside, it just doesn’t look the most
professional. My fault completely and the error doesn’t detract from my rating
of this product.The two photos with this review were taken at the same time of
day, from the inside daylight is easily visible (but no blaring heat). From the
outside you can’t see inside at all except for the very faint outline of the
ceiling fan light which I left on. You still have to close your curtains at
night for total privacy, but that doesn’t matter to me.The film came with a
razor and a flat tool to smooth the bubbles, they worked fine. Prying the
protective clear film off was by far the most difficult part, you definitely
want to use the method mentioned in the directions of putting one piece of tape
on each side and pulling in opposite directions. The first time it took me 10
minutes to open the first piece. Once I got the technique down it only took
seconds.I’m very pleased with this one way mirror film, I’ll probably buy more
to do the large window downstairs on the same side of the house.

Applied on barn windows, instantly felt 10-25 degrees cololer on the 2nd floor.
I also love the privacy. At night you can barely see inside the 2nd floor, even
when the lights are on.
Just note that after applying the film on the windows, the lighting in the room
will be a lot darker.

I've wrestled with my fair share of window applications and I can say this was
definitely the nicest kit I've received. It came with a box knife and squeegee
and if you follow the video instructions, it is fairly easily installed. The 12
foot roll was just enough to cover both panes of my sliding glass door. Overall,
there is a noticeable difference in sunlight coming into the room and the
temperature has been much more manageable. I would highly recommend.

The hardest part was separating the layers, but once I actually followed the
directions and fully covered the corners I figured it out. The photos show the
difference between applied and regular light, as well as the small area where I
messed up my trim lol. A mini squeegee and x-acto knife come with the film which
is helpful!

Tardo un poco en llegar, sin embargo valió la pena. Midiendo bien, mucha agua
con jabón y que además viene con accesorios para instalar, me fue fácil colocar,
incluso dónde me equivoqué, se volvió a utilizar sin problema. Lo recomiendo al
100. Compraré los que me hacen falta.
