MEET BETH

Beth is an AANP Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with more than 25 years of
experience in the health care field. During her career, she has been at the
beside, in the boardroom, an educator and a mentor from the classroom to the
intensive care unit, and a nurse from the nursery to the nursing home.

Wherever her adventures have taken her, she has come to believe:
The (he)art of nursing is to teach.

In alignment with her belief when we feel well, we do well, she has embraced
the whole person model of care.

> environmental—rather than just treating disease.

WHOLE PERSON HEALTH

I support women in understanding their physiology, navigating life's
transitions, and optimizing their energy by providing evidence based education
and holding a safe space for community.

In view of the changes we have all lived through and with during past 2 years, I
have come to appreciate the value of connection. We are stronger when we come
together, share stories, support one another, and finally become vulnerable
leading to feelings of belonging, empathy; this gives meaning to our lives
(Brene Brown in The Power of Vulnerability).

Because...

HEALTH IS MORE THAN THE ABSENCE OF DISEASE

A healthy person is not just free of a definable disease ("label"), but is a
person who experiences vibrant health and possesses VITALITY.

Nagging symptoms tend to fall to lower on the "to-do" list as we wade our way
through taking care of others, adjusting to changing relationships, and seek to
find work-life balance. Before we know it, those "nagging symptoms" capture our
attention. It is often only then we seek healthcare.

What if you had a plan in place before your symptoms get out of control?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HOW TO HAVE VITALITY

Your body gives signals that something is not right - but how often do you
ignore those signals - until they fully and undeniably capture your attention.

If your "vague symptoms" do not meet the criteria for a particular disease, you
may be given lifestyle recommendations. These recommendations often fall by the
wayside as the symptoms become accepted and integrated into everyday life.

You might think, "I'm tired and weary, but I just don't have time to deal with
this right now!"

Yet, this is the very time when the lifestyle recommendations can give you
the most benefit, preventing the onset of disease.

What comes to mind when thinking about your health? What would it be like to
feel vibrantly healthy, filled with energy and enthusiasm?

THE CHALLENGE TO ACHIEVE VIBRANT HEALTH

Challenge: An event that requires great effort and determination, tests
strength, skill, or ability.

Discovering what nourishes you can be a challenge and is much easier with
support.

If you've been going through life's inevitable transitions and have been
experiencing low energy, lack of sleep, brain fog, moodiness, lack of
motivation, difficulty setting goals (much less, achieving them), generalized
discomfort, and food cravings - there is help available.

Not a replacement for regular medical care, understanding your body and and how
it works gives you the opportunity to optimize your energy and your health.

I understand the transitions you face are so challenging and it can be hard to
admit you want to take time for yourself. You may think you don't have time...or
worse that you don't deserve self care because other's needs seem to take
priority.

As someone who has been in the healthcare field for decades, I've seen the toll
caring for others first takes on all of us, women in particular, (although I've
seen plenty of men sacrifice their own health for others too, many times).

Be generous with yourself. Take time for YOU.

And when you're ready to learn more about making positive changes in your health
habits, consider working with a coach, an accountability partner, a trusted
partner or friend. The community and suppport you'll open yourself to could be
life changing.
