This library features the king of bass guitars - the Kalium Quake Bass.

What is the Kalium Quake bass?

The Quake is a 40-37" scale contrabass guitar. If you are interesting in

VSTi features & Specs:
- 3 octave note range from A#00 to A#2.
- Up/down picking articulations.
- Dead mute & left hand mute articulations.
- Noise samples to add in a human element.
- 4 velocities: light, medium, hard, super hard.
- Pristine DI output for maximum flexibility.
- Compatible with Kontakt 6 & 7 free player.

Why sample the Quake bass?
As an extended range guitar player myself, there have been situations while
writing where I really wanted the bass guitar to follow along in the octave
below. Traditional basses just weren't cutting it and when I got my hands on the
Quake, it really allowed me to explore sub-octaves with clarity that I'd never
heard before. This sample library is intended to give others like me an
affordable and great sounding option for getting the bass an octave below even
the lowest guitars. The Quake was recorded with the bridge humbucker (passive)
through a Neve RNDI box directly into my interface. What you hear is exactly
what comes out of the instrument. This allows you to use any signal chain and
tweak the sound just as you would an actual Quake.

Suggested Uses:
- Write bass lines for your project's demos or final mixes.
- Inspire new ideas in the box that you can take to the stage/studio.
- Augment a bass VSTi or live bass to reach down lower than you could before.
- Use sub octave notes and pitch automation to create or layer on a bass drop.
- Add some distortion to make the bass the focal point of a breakdown.

This library is ONLY compatible with Kontakt 6 & 7, both the free and full
versions.

sound in the hands of many more people and inspire them to create music. Also a
