HOW ADLIT ARE YOU?

True or False: In the graphic novel Twins by Varian Johnson, Francine is forced
to drop out of the race for 6th grade class president after she engages in
“dirty politics.”

True False

Congrats! You got it right!

In Twins, twin sisters Francine and Maureen are starting 6th grade, and while
Maureen is happy to continue as a dynamic duo, Francine is ready to go solo.
Upset by the distance Francine is putting between them and determined to prove
she can be a leader on her own, Maureen decides to run against Francine for 6th
grade class president. When Francine reveals an embarrassing secret about
Maureen to their classmates, their parents try to pull Francine from the race.
Maureen intercedes, deciding that Francine must stay in the race or she’ll never
know if she could win on her own.
