NOW HIRING: DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR AT NEW ERA COLORADO

We are seeking a full-time Development Director to lead and expand our annual
fundraising and donor base to fuel our work and grow our impact in the state. In
this role, you’ll run all aspects of our fundraising, including developing our
annual fundraising goals and a plan to meet them, building relationships with
foundations and major donors, writing funding proposals and grant reports, and
managing a Development Manager. You will also play a meaningful role serving on
our senior leadership team and influencing organizational strategy. This role is
an excellent opportunity for a strong writer, relationship-builder, and
strategic thinker who wants to put those skills to work towards engaging young
people and winning on the Youth Agenda.

To Apply

Follow this link to apply for this role and submit application materials. Please
submit a resume and a cover letter! The priority deadline is February 10, but
this position will be open until filled and will be removed from our website
once it is filled (if the posting is still up, you can and should still apply!).
Ideal start date is April 3. No phone calls please.

About New Era

New Era aims to build a youth movement that fights for a common vision of the
world: one that centers equality, prosperity, love, and joy. A vision where
everyone is treated fairly, has their basic needs met, and can thrive. Young
people are the most impacted by the challenges and issues we face today and have
the capacity to dream bigger, designing the solutions towards this future. And
yet, young people are often shut out from the halls of power and ignored by
elected officials. That’s why at New Era, we organize young people to
participate in the political process, develop as leaders, and find a political
home.

Since our founding in 2006, we’ve registered more than 250,000 young people to
vote and consistently turn out those registrants at one of the highest rates in
the country. We’ve won critical protections for student loan borrowers, played a
key role in ballot measure campaigns to protect abortion rights and climate,
enacted voter preregistration for 16- and 17-year-olds, advocated for key
improvements to our voting systems, and more. In the 2022 midterms, young people
turned out at record levels in Colorado—12 points above the national average—and
therefore are poised to demand progress on the Youth Agenda. New Era is the
leading voice for young people in Colorado politics and the next several years
hold so much potential for our state and our generation.
