I love your business model. I especially love how you connected me with someone
right away in my city and the pricing is completely transparent. You know as a
start up that our bottom line is very important.We have a lawyer in Red Deer
that has looked after our business so far. To meet with him on something so
simple would have been stressful and your company made it so easy.When we have
asked our lawyer for advice on stocks in the past, he would reply in an email
and then we get a surprise $500 invoice at the end of the month and it was very
surprising for us on how it's done. So we are scared to ask for anything from
him because we have no idea the price tag on it.Your business model is
refreshing and we support it 100%. I left a great review and will promote it to

How is Goodlawyer different?

On average we help entrepreneurs get their legal problems solved twice as fast
and at prices at least 30% below your average law firm.



How do I know my lawyer is good?

We vet, recruit, interview, train, and monitor every lawyer on our platform, and
their clients can leave public reviews after every service. If a lawyer’s
reviews fall below an acceptable level, they are removed from the platform.



Are there any limits on Advice Sessions with Goodlawyer Pro?

Goodlawyer Pros can book an unlimited number of Advice Sessions with any lawyer
in the Goodlawyer network. Our lawyers are ready to address your legal questions
and support your business whenever you need them. Still, we ask that you respect
your lawyer's time by keeping your appointments and attending Advice Session
calls scheduled with your lawyer.



Can I work with more than one lawyer?

Of course! Goodlawyer makes it easy for you to work with any member of our
Canada-wide network of lawyers so you always get the right legal expertise for
your business. For example, if you have a question related to a commercial
contract, you can easily connect with one of our business law specialists. If
your question relates to tax, intellectual property or employment law, you can
also connect one of our specialist lawyers with expertise in those fields.



Does a Pro membership affect services besides Advice Sessions?

Annual Pro subscribers receive a 7% reduction on service fees. That means we
only charge 13% on top of legal fees rather than the standard 20% for the
marketplace. This discount does not apply to quarterly Pro subscribers.



What happens if I cancel my Pro membership?

Canceling your membership will cancel the automatic renewal of your
subscription. You will still retain access to all of the Pro features until your
renewal date, at which point you will lose access to all Pro features. You’ll
still have access to your Goodlawyer account and the marketplace and won’t lose
any of your records or previous interactions with lawyers.



What if I need advice relating to a contract?

For questions about a specific contact, we suggest booking a Contract Review
service. If you're looking for high-level advice on a topic related to
contracts, you can ask your lawyer in an Advice Session and your Pro membership
will cover it for free.



What if I have questions relating to non-Canadian law?

Some of the lawyers on Goodlawyer have experience with the laws in foreign
countries, particularly America. We suggest contacting our Legal Concierge™
service team for questions relating to the laws of jurisdictions outside of
Canada.
