PACIFIC CITY BANK WAS HIT BY AVOS LOCKER RANSOMWARE OPERATORS, THE GANG CLAIMS
TO HAVE STOLEN SENSITIVE FILE FROM THE COMPANY AND THREATENS TO LEAK IT.

Pacific City Bank is an American community bank that focuses on the
Korean-American community based in California and offers commercial banking
services

The bank was hit by AVOS Locker Ransomware operators who claim to have stolen
sensitive documents from the financial institution.

On Saturday, September 4, 2021, the ransomware gang added the bank to its leak
site and published some screenshots as proof of the hack.

The cybercriminals defined the security implemented by the bank terrible.

“Pacific City Bank provides outstanding banking and financial services for
businesses and consumers. (but they have horrible security)” reads the message
published on the leak site. “If they refuse to negotiate, we will leak all the
data we’ve got. Attached are some of the documents that were exfiltrated.”

Below one of the images shared by the group:

The ransomware gang published a ZIP archive named proof that contains a series
of documents allegedly stolen from the bank.
