<p>Dr. Monia Cheour presents the case of an aphakic patient who underwent secondary iris claw lens implantation after IOL explantation and anterior vitrectomy. Two paracenteses were performed at 3 and 9
o’clock, then a fornix-based conjunctival flap was created and a scleral cautery applied. Suture traction was placed in the clear cornea and a scleral incision was made 2 millimeters from the limbus. A
sclerocorneal tunnel extending 1.5 millimeters to the clear cornea was created, a keratotomy was performed, and finally the iris claw lens was inserted and the iris locked into the claw. This maneuver was
repeated on the other side.</p>

Dr. Monia Cheour presents the case of an aphakic patient who underwent
secondary iris claw lens implantation after IOL explantation and anterior
vitrectomy. Two paracenteses were performed at 3 and 9 o’clock, then a
fornix-based conjunctival flap was created and a scleral cautery applied.
Suture traction was placed in the clear cornea and a scleral incision was
made 2 millimeters from the limbus. A sclerocorneal tunnel extending 1.5
millimeters to the clear cornea was created, a keratotomy was performed, and
finally the iris claw lens was inserted and the iris locked into the claw.
This maneuver was repeated on the other side.
