Do you have old media and no way to view it?
Are you afraid your media is rotting away?

DIGITIZING FILMS IN VANCOUVER

Wouldn't it be great to not only view it, but also share it with friends and
family? Imagine showcasing your family treasurers to your kids or grandkids with
your new digital media on a computer, Smart TV, or the cloud. Most everyone has
this problem with shelves and boxes of photos, videos, audio, and films. This is
where we can help. Technology is changing so fast that those machines that used
to play those old media formats (even DVDs are on the way out) are no-where to
be found. We have professional old and new technology to digitize those
memories.

TRANSFER FILM TO DIGITAL FORMAT RESOLUTIONS OF HD, 2K, 4K, OR 5K

Your parents may have transferred film to VHS (standard definition) using
yesterday's technology that did a decent job. But today's technology can
transfer the films to an amazing 5K picture! Just ask us about the documentary
film producers, the archives, museums, and many consumers that we've already
helped. Contact us today so you can enjoy your treasures tomorrow.

Grey Cup Parade in Vancouver 1955
May 2, 2017

Great footage taken from a 16mm film of the Grey Cup (CFL Football) Parade in
downtown Vancouver 1955. This was the first time that the Grey Cup was held in
Vancouver, BC. Notice the Jack Cullen Record store across the street. Jack
Cullen worked for many many years in radio. I remember him from CKNW.

New Westminster 1915 and 1917 May Day Celebrations
Jun 3, 2018

Arthur David Kean, cinematographer, created this film of New Westminster’s 1915
and 1917 May Day festival. The 35mm nitrate film was in amazing shape except
that the beginning and the end of the film were missing. The film was digitized
for the New Westminster Archives (

Testimonials

“… had difficulties getting a clean capture of a fifty-year old reel-to-reel
tape, I was introduced to John at Lifetime Heritage. John almost instantly
produced a vastly better recording that we had been able to procure. It was
revelatory and alone was useable with minor tweaks. However, when we noted a
small intermittent issue he reviewed and concluded it needed to be improved. He
and his team recaptured the piece repeatedly and noted that the issues weren't
always in the same place. This meant we could blend his versions to create a
perfect digital file. Yet even that was not enough for John. He decided to try
recording the tape backwards and then reversing the digital audio file. When
very minute clipping was found in those, he then retrieved a different
reel-to-reel player and capture it what by then easily could have been the TENTH
time. And lo and behold, he rendered improvements everywhere yet again (when the
quality of the very first pass was beyond our dreams to begin with, even with
its tiny quirks!)

I so rarely experience this kind of commitment and professionalism that I
insisted he invoice me more than he wanted to! And it still is not enough! ….
They're simply amazing!”

Here’s a note from a very happy customer that had us digitize their Super8 film
reels…..

“Just wanted to send you a huge thank you for your work after taking a look at
the scan results of the film reels.

Your digitization of my family's reels far exceeded my high expectations. I’ve
never seen them like this before. You two guys do a fantastic job. Keep up the
good work, and I hope to see you again!”

- Andrew Haddock, Chilliwack

“Lifetime Heritage Films did a wonderful job scanning my Super 8 film into HD.

I had previously overpaid a company to do low-res video transfers using outdated
telecine techniques. The results were akin to someone projecting my film onto a
dirty bath towel, and then videotaping the projection with an early 90's
camcorder. Having never shot Super 8, I just assumed that's what it was supposed
to look like. Wrong.

Suffice to say I was blown away when I got my scans back from LHF.”

- Kieran McGreal, Vancouver

"Just want to say thank you very much for all your efforts getting the transfers
done in time for Christmas. It was by far the highlight of our Boxing Day open
house. I really appreciate it."

- Teresa H., Port Coquitlam

"Thanks for enabling us to preserve and share the memories of Michael with our
family and friends.  Thanks to your personal dedication to deliver a great
experience."

- Gloria Cuccione, Vancouver, of the Michael Cuccione Foundation

"Thank you so much for transferring my old 8 mm films to a flash drive. It was
wonderful to see the films of my parents and older siblings. I'm sure my family
had not seen these since the 1960's! What a treat! I will be sure to recommend
your film transfer services to my friends who want to see their parents old home
movies."

- Cathie Cleveland, Vancouver

"Everything looks great! You do great work, thanks!"

- Lucien, Vancouver

Thrilled! That's how I feel after seeing 500 pictures of friends and family I
thought were lost forever. Thanks John, great work. You have moved up on my
hero's list.

- Gerald Hobbis, Vancouver

"Watched a few more of the films and wish to let you know that we are very happy
with the end result. The colour, clarity etc is awesome and we can't wait to sit
down and go through all of the videos. Thank you so much for completing them in
time for Christmas. I texted my daughter and told her she is going to receive
the best Christmas present ever when she views them with us..... "

- Lucille and Jim Arnusch, Grand Forks

"The slideshow that you produced to help my father be inducted into the Basebase
Hall Of Fame welled up emotions in all of us especially my dad. We are extremely
grateful for the magical slideshow, the expert scanning of a myriad of materials
and the extremely quick delivery on such short notice."

- Elizabeth J Photography, Port Moody

"Again, thanks a lot for the terrific job digitizing the footage for my last
documentary. The quality of your work is amazing and very affordable for
documentary budgets."

- Scott Renyard, Vancouver, of Juggernaut Pictures Inc.
