WHAT IS GETH?

gETH also known as gasETH is a token by the Ethereum's core team to reward those
who spent a lot on gas fee on the Mainnet of Ethereum. Ethereum is transitioning
into a new phase for it's blockchain where gas fees spent are minimized, we want
those who used the network intensively to be rewarded.

gasETH will be used as a gas token once the ETH2.0 Sharding update goes live,
and is actively developed upon by the Ethereum team.




WHY THE GETH TOKEN?

Gas fees have been a breaking point for the Ethereum network since it's
inception, transactions were slow and expensive. The Ethereum Foundation has
found a solution, a token that rewards you for having participated in ETH 1.0.

Ethereum currently processes 1 million transactions per day and generates large
sums of ETH for it's stakers (before miners), but going into the launch of
ETH2.0 gas fees will come down dramatically. gETH will be the main currency for
paying gas fees.


ARCHITECTURE OF GETH

100% of the gETH tokens will be redistributed among gas fee spenders. So you
will be rewarded proportionally to how much you've spent on gas fees.

The token is a simple token and is launched by the Ethereum Foundation, a
foundation funded by Ethereum since it's inception.
