Previously, he was the Head of Product Development at the Financial Times, where he developed growth and acquisition strategies and launched new information services in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Prior to that, he spent 4 years on the senior management team of Money-Media, a niche B2B provider of news, data and analysis, where he led new product development and oversaw the company’s strategic plan, driving double-digit annual growth and leading to the company’s sale to the Financial Times in 2008. Additional experience includes corporate finance at Desilva & Phillips, a media investment bank, and market research & analysis in Smith Barney’s Equity Research and Asset Management divisions. Michael earned an MBA from Columbia University and a BA in economics from Boston University. Chris Larson, Contributing Editor Chris is based in Singapore and focuses on clean tech and sustainability issues in China and the rest of Asia while also providing editorial input and support across all of CleantechIQ’s coverage areas. He’s worked for Bloomberg News and the Financial Times, and has written news, features and analysis pieces on topics including hedge funds and asset management, institutional investors, environmental issues and other topics in New York, London, Chicago and the Caribbean.
