WE WORK FOR EMPLOYERS

Each one of our attorneys is passionately dedicated to ensuring that our clients
are always well-positioned to reduce exposure and to enhance their competitive
advantage. We provide the foundational knowledge needed for early identification
and elimination of workplace concerns before they evolve into full-scale
litigation. Whether an issue concerns federal leave law, state regulation on
payment of wages or a wrongful termination trial, Hirschfeld Kraemer lawyers
draw on an enormous reserve of experience and talent to maximize results while
minimizing costs.

WE WORK FOR YOU

We Work for Higher Education

Our firm represents over 100 colleges and universities in both the private and
public sector throughout the United States. Our clients range from large, public
research institutions to community colleges and small, private liberal arts
colleges. We have special expertise addressing the unique legal issues that
arise for church and religious-affiliated institutions. We offer assistance
dealing with accreditation matters, as well as advising and training on
preventing, investigating and responding to campus sexual assaults under Title
IX, Clery and state laws. And we routinely provide legal training to
administrators on a wide variety of legal issues.

California Sets Nation’s Highest Standard for Healthcare Workplace Violence
Prevention

After years of recognition and lament concerning violence in our hospitals and
the larger healthcare community, California is doing something about it in a big
way. Through unprecedented statutory and regulatory mandate administered by the
California Division of Occupational Safety and Health, a broad range of health
care service providers has until April 1, 2018 to ensure that their written
workplace violence prevention plan is in place, complete with investigation,
response and communications procedures, and comprehensive incident reporting and
record-keeping protocols.
