ABOUT GATE EXAM

The paper is organised into three components, according to the GATE Electronics
and Communications Engineering Exam Pattern: General Aptitude, Engineering
Mathematics, and Electronics and Communications Engineering. The Electronics and
Communications engineering section/core curriculum accounts for a maximum of 70%
of the overall marks. The remaining weight is divided between general aptitude
and engineering mathematics, each of which accounts for around 15% of the entire
exam. MCQs, MSQs, and NAT questions make up the GATE Electronics and
Communications Engineering paper. For NAT questions, there is no negative
marking. Students can apply for admission to several IITs, NITs, and PSUs using
their GATE scores. 


GATE EXAM PATTERN

The GATE EC is a 3 hours long exam and will be a computer-based test. This
online test is broken into three sections and has a total of 65 questions. The
general aptitude section is required of all candidates taking the GATE 2022
exam. Multiple-choice questions (MCQ), Multiple Selective Questions (MSQ) and
numerical-answer questions (NAQ) are included in the paper pattern. The exam
pattern for GATE EC is as follows:
