ABOUT SDMHA

We strive to preserve our area's rich heritage and shared history for future
generations. The museum is housed in the old Soddy Banking Company building at
the corner of Wall and Depot Streets. See displays and artifacts representing
the local history of the Soddy, Daisy and Montlake communities. Our collection
includes early settlement and frontier days, the Civil War, and the mining era
and into the 20th century, charting this area's growth as a major town. Exhibits
change seasonally and are rotated to cover this expanse of history.
