OVERVIEW
Explore Morocco's Sahara desert on an amazing adventure that takes you from Fes
to Marrakech and gives you the chance to meet the locals and have a true desert
experience.
By participating in the 3-day Fes to Marrakech desert tour, you will be able to
ride camels across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi and spend a wonderful night in
a desert tent in Merzouga, a region that feels a million miles away from
civilization.
Your 3-day Fes desert tour will take you across the Middle Atlas Mountains to
Merzouga and across the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, in addition to camel
trekking, sunset and sunrise over Erg Chebbi, and a night in the desert. Get to
watch the Barbary macaques in the cedar forest near Azrou, one of the famous
old-world monkey species. Explore the Todra Canyon, visit the Ait Benhaddou
Kasbah, and many more.

ITINERARY
* DAY 1 : FES - IFRANE - AZROU - MIDELT - ERRACHIDIA - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA
Pick up from your hotel in Fes at 08:0 am and departure for the south of
Morocco. You will have a stop in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco,
to enjoy its beauty and to have a memorable photos. After that, you will head
toward Azrou to see the monkeys in the cedar forest. Continuing to Midelt for
a lunch meal in a restaurant. In the afternoon, we will cross the pass of
Tizi n Tlghamt to reach Errachidia while admiring the views of Ziz gorges.
Later on, you will have a stop for a panoramic view of Ziz valley. The drive
continues to Erg Chebbi Dunes, passing by Aoufous and Erfoud (the last is
famous with fossils and dates) where you may want to visit a local fossil
craft workshop. After that you will continue to the captivating dunes of Erg
Chebbi, these dunes are also called Merzouga Dunes. Arrive to the hotel and
get ready for a camel trek for an hour and half to enjoy the sunset. While on
the back of your dromedary, you will continue to the camp for an overnight in
a traditional nomad tent. Dinner and spend the night in a bivouac in the
middle of the dunes.

* DAY 2 : MERZOUGA - ERRISANI - TODRA GORGE - DADES GORGE
After breakfast and shower to dust off, we will drive from Merzouga to
Rissani, Erfoud and Tinghir, where we will stop for lunch and a short walk in
Todra gorges and its magnificent palm-groves and old ruins blinding perfectly
with the scenery. In the afternoon, we will continue to Boumalen Dades and
take the detour to the north through the curvy road of the Dades gorges, stop
for a couple pictures at the monkey feet, a rock formation that looks like
fingers (probably formed from lava thousands of years ago), then continue to
see the infamous gorges at the top portrayed in many travel flyers as one of
the most beautiful pieces of roads before heading back to our hotel at the
foothills of the gorges, where we will enjoy a nice dinner and occasionally a
musical play with the staff and other clients before going to bed.

* DAY 3 : DADES GORGE - SKOURA - OUARZAZATE - AIT BEN HADDOU - MARRAKECH
This morning, after breakfast in the hotel, We depart to Ouarzazate via
Skoura . Stopping for a panoramic view of the kasbah of Taourirt then another
photo stop near the atlas film studios. After that you will visit the Kasbah
of Ait Benhaddou and stop for lunch in a local restaurant in the village. In
the Afternoon we will drive to Marrakech over the mountains of high Atlas,
passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). Drop off in
Marrakech.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Desert Temperatures ?
A frequent and definitely good question, if you are not well-prepared, you might
not enjoy your time fully in the desert due to the extreme weather conditions.
Deserts get super hot in summer, in Morocco, August is the hottest month of the
year, with temperatures reaching 50 °C—122ºF, you can literally cook eggs on the
asphalt (great for a TikTok clip). With this said, if you can't take that much
heat, please avoid visiting the deserts during July and August. If you are okay
with this kind of temperatures; it is still highly recommended to come prepared
with good sunscreen, sunglasses, a wide hat, light but covering pieces of
clothing and some insect repellent, you can also purchase all these items in
Morocco. And let's not forget winter days, starry nights are freezing. The
mountainous parts of the roads are usually snowy, but all our vehicles are
equipped with A/C for that matter, so make sure to bring warm clothes if you
take this tour during December-January.

accommodating this need and offer completely vegan and vegetarian meals.
