Fiduciary decisions and actions (or inaction) will impact your employees and can
increase organizational risk. We evaluate retirement plan fiduciary due
diligence and actions against best practices using extensive industry experience
and detailed analytics. Our goal is to benefit plan participants by serving plan
sponsors, stakeholders and as a consultant or testifying expert in litigation.


ABOUT JOHN HARE

John Hare has over 33 years of experience working with defined contribution
plans, including 403(b), 401(a), and 401(k) plans, as an independent advisor, as
a fiduciary consultant, and in working with a large record keeper and investment
provider.

In 2024, John became founder and principal of Fiduciary Impact, LLC, a fiduciary
consulting firm (not investment advisory). In that capacity he provides expert
witness services, consulting services and education resources for retirement
plan fiduciaries. Previously (since 2011) John provided these services through
Fiduciary Plan Governance, LLC, where he served as Regional Managing Director.



In a separate capacity from Fiduciary Impact LLC, John serves as a consultant or
ERISA §3(21) fiduciary advisor and §3(38) investment manager for a number of
retirement plans. His primary focus is the creation, improvement and
communication of open architecture retirement plan platforms and investments.

John previously worked with a major financial services and record keeping firm
for 21 years. In this position, he worked with many large and diverse 403(b),
401(a) and 401(k) plans and plan sponsors of all sizes, including plans with
multi-billion dollars in total assets.

John is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) through Fi360 as well as a
Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) and a Non-Qualified Plan Advisor (NQPA)
through the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA). Fi360 and NAPA are
prominent organizations that provides education, training, and certification for
retirement plan fiduciary advisors. He was previously a member of Retirement
Plan Advisory Group (RPAG), which provides technology, training, and resources
for plan focused advisors. Through continuing education from these organizations
and other industry conferences and educational events, John is familiar with and
has practiced the industry standards for fiduciaries of ERISA defined
contribution plans.

John earned a BBA in Management Information Systems from Georgia Southern
University and has received the Certificate of Financial Planning through
Belmont University.

John has spoken at multiple industry conferences specifically about streamlining
and improving investments and services for retirement plans. He has written
white papers and articles and contributed to a 2017 New York Times article on
retirement plans.
