Read aloud to dogs from the Monroe County Humane Association's Therapy Animal
Program! This activity encourages a regular habit of reading for fun and aids
the development of reading skills. This program is great for readers of all
abilities, but especially helpful for reluctant or struggling readers. Ages
5–12.


This program is in partnership with the Monroe County Humane Association.

VITAL English Language Group: Conversation with Jeanette Clausen

New English speakers will practice everyday language skills in a relaxed,
informal atmosphere. Learners will enjoy friendly conversation, learn about
daily life in the U.S., gain confidence, and meet new people from around the
world. 


Intermediate English skills are suggested. If you do not speak English, please
fill out the VITAL Services form to learn about programs for beginners.
Conversation Groups are drop-in and no registration is needed.

If you have not attended a VITAL program before, please stop by the office for
more information (Downtown Library, second floor).

Join us for a night of movies, snacks, and discussion as we make our way through
the greatest movies of all time! From cult classics to award-winning to movies
"you just have to see for yourself," we'll watch and chat about all of the
movies we consider to be the best of the best. Snacks will be provided. Ages

Perfect Video Presentations with Adobe Premiere

In this program, we'll use Adobe Premiere to create the perfect video
presentation. This program will cover the basics with some helpful extras. Age

Novel Horizons: A Mixed Media Club

Novel Horizons is not a traditional book club, and there are no mandatory
readings. Instead, in this low-stress club, you will read, watch, play, or
listen to media that follows a specific theme. This month's theme is food,
drink, and culture. Drinks and snacks will be provided. Age 18 and up;
recommended for ages 18–32. Optional: Bring recipe cards to swap with others!
