ABUTMENT UNDERMINING REPAIR

Bridge abutments can become weakened over time due to excessive earth pressure
and scour. By evaluating and deploying our engineered solutions,
GeoStabilization International’s team will repair and strengthen the bridge
substructure while keeping the bridge open to traffic.






WING WALL STABILIZATION

Wing walls may begin to fail due to poor drainage and improperly set footings or
vertical supports. This failure will result in walls cracking, bowing, or
leaning, which can be a severe hazard to the public and traffic above.
Stabilization of wing walls can be rectified by reinforcing subsoils and with
various technologies such as soil nails, shotcrete, and more.






ABUTMENT REFURBISHMENT

As abutments crack and wear from deteriorated concrete and settlement,
refurbishment is an optimal solution as it reduces the permitting requirements
and the work can be completed outside the stream with little to no demolition.
