1.MARUFUKU COFFEE SHOP SENNICHIMAE MAIN STORE (丸福珈琲店 千日前本店)

marufukucoffee1934

naihongx

A long-standing coffee shop established in 1934. Here you can enjoy a quiet
moment in this nostalgic styled coffee shop. This coffee shop has a  unique
roasting technique called “Fukairi no Kiwami,” (literally translated as “extreme
deep roasting”) and extraction method which creates a rich coffee. The pancakes
here have a crisp outer layer and a soft inside. If you order the hotcakes, be
sure to pour on lots of butter, honey and maple syrup. As well as the original
shop, there are 21 branches of Marufuku.

1-9-1 Sennhichimae, Chuo-ku, Osaka City TEL: 06-6211-3474

2.JUNKISSA AMERICAN (純喫茶 アメリカン)

condoll

An old coffee shop located in a two-storey building near Dotonbori, a popular
tourist spot in Osaka. This coffee shop has a nostalgic atmosphere, and as you
step foot into the restaurant, after being surprised at the large chandelier,
you will feel like you have travelled back into the past. The pancakes, which we
recommend, come pre-cut into 6 pieces. The smell of the soft dough and the warm
butter spreads throughout the restaurant. The soft texture is perfect for
breakfast.

Kabushikigaisha American Bldg. 1-7-4 Dotonbori, Chuo-ku, Osaka City

3.DOREMI (ドレミ)

chieromantic

borninninety

A small retro coffee shop located in front of Tsutenkaku. It is a great place to
go and relax after a day of sightseeing. Doremi offers self-roasted coffee, and
their famous thick pancakes are very filling. They start cooking the pancakes
after you order, so they can take about 20 minutes to come, so don’t worry if it
seems as though your order is taking a while.

1-18-8 Ebisu Higashi, Naniwa-ku, Osaka City

4. NAKAOKA COFFEE NANBA STORE (なかおか珈琲 なんば店)

custard_y

tomo5127

A long-standing coffee shop in Namba that is open 24 hours a day. Here, you can
enjoy the shops own charcoal roasted coffee, and they offer free refills. The
popular pancakes, with a crisp outside and soft inside,  are cooked after you
order them.

A cafe located right between the subway Shinsaibashi Station and Nahahoribashi
Station that is famous for its pancakes. Their thick yet soft pancakes topped
off with dollops of merengue, are bound to put you in a happy mood . (The name
of the shop “Shiawase no Pancake” means “Pancakes of Happiness”). The New
Zealand honey and Hokkaido whipped butter really work to bring out the delicious
flavour of the pancakes.

finish them off in a flash. Why not try their original home-roasted coffee blend
as well?

around chosen by their coffee specialists, is exquisite. Their popular soufflé

9. YUKINOSHITA KOBO (雪の下工房)

Located near the Taiyuji Temple in Osaka Kita, this popular coffee shop is
regularly featured in the media. The shop has an interesting layout, with the 29
counter seats surrounding the kitchen. Their coffee, which is made with
meticulous care to the flavor and quality, is delicious, but what we really
recommend is their pancakes. These thick, moist pancakes have just the right
level of sweetness, and are a real delicacy. Please note that children under the
age of 6 can’t come into the shop.

Go south from Ebisu Bashi in Osaka Minami and turn left at the second junction
and you will see the entrance to Hozenji Temple in front of you. If you walk in
the direction of the temple, you will soon find a 2-storey old coffee shop on
your left. This is Arabia Coffee. The interior of the shop is a chic dark brown.
Their coffee, made from roughly ground beans and drip served, has a mild taste
and rich aroma, and goes perfectly with their sweet pancakes, which have a crisp
outer layer and are soft and moist on the inside.
