PCF TO CONTINUE ACQUISITION PUSH FOLLOWING FINANCING DEAL

Acquisitive brokerage PCF Insurance Services will continue with its growth
strategy following the $500 million equity investment it announced Friday, but
the pace of deals may slow, its top executives said.


SWISS RE ANNOUNCES PROMOTIONS

Swiss Re Ltd. said Friday it has named Monica Ningen as CEO of US P&C
Reinsurance and Jolee Crosby to take over Ms. Ningen’s former role as president
and CEO of Swiss Re Canada & English Caribbean business, effective July 1.


ILLINOIS BIOMETRICS RULING COULD HAVE MAJOR IMPACT ON EMPLOYERS

The Illinois Supreme Court ruled Friday in a divided opinion that employers
violated the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act each time they collected
fingerprints from an employee and disclosed that biometric information without
consent.


AXA HIRES FROM DUAL FOR FINE ART ROLE

Axa XL said Friday it has hired Casey Santangelo, former president of fine art
at Dual North America Inc., as head of fine art and specie for the Americas.


SWISS RE’S PROFIT PLUMMETS ON INFLATION, CATASTROPHE LOSSES

Swiss Re Ltd., the world’s second-largest reinsurer, on Friday reported a 2022
profit of $472 million, down from $1.4 billion in 2021.


BLACK WOMAN’S BIAS SUIT REINSTATED; OVERLOOKED FOR PRINCIPAL JOB

A federal appeals court on Thursday overturned a lower court and reinstated a
discrimination lawsuit filed by a Black woman who was overlooked for promotion
to school principal in favor of a white man with less experience.

   Back in the 70s, when unions were stronger, 16 airlines – most of which
   disappeared long ago – used a controversial mutual aid pact to insure against
   lost revenue during strikes.
