The Legacy 500 is an event which pays homage to the history and pageantry of the Indianapolis 500. Presented by the School of Sim Racing (SSR) and hosted by the National Auto Racing Club (NARC), we aim to recreate the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing” in the world’s premier motorsport racing simulation, iRacing. In our inaugural year, we honour the history of the relentless pursuit of speed at Indy. Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) has played host to the Indianapolis 500 ever since its inception in 1911. Affectionately known as The Brickyard, IMS is the highest-capacity sports venue in the world and third-oldest permanent race track in existence, holding the title of first ever ‘speedway’.
