The child-like wonder inspired by the gentle musical chimes is never diminished, with novices and scholars alike marvelling at the combination of technical mastery and the ephemeral whimsy of harmoniously tuned gongs. The present reference 5033P combines Patek’s signature annual calendar with the melodious and most difficult of complications to truly master. Collectors know that every minute repeater is personally inspected by Mr Thierry Stern and must chime just perfectly before being dispatched to their future owners. Only 30 pieces are thought to have been made in this configuration, making this 5033 as rare as it is inspiring. Presented with the original Patek Philippe box, Certificate and additional case back and fitted to a brand new emerald green alligator strap, we are proud to present this grand complication for private sale in superb condition. Price £189,950 * Follow * Favorite * Patek Philippe Ref. 5039G-013 Model: Perpetual Calendar "Vintage Collection" Patek has long been known to grant wishes to their most valued clients. One-off dials, grande complications, integrated bracelets and even occasionally special materials have all set hearts aflutter in the auction rooms over the decades. When they decided to discreetly reissue a small number of discontinued references with new dial configurations, it was the equivalent of a specially remastered greatest hit presented on a hand carved platinum record. A tight coterie of select collectors have access to these resurrected and revived classics and very few have found their way to the open market. Indeed, this is the only known 5039-013 to have appeared and is thought to be one of five or fewer examples. Originally produced between 1996 and 2007, the elegantly proportioned 35mm ultra-slim white gold case with crisp clous-de-Paris bezel houses Patek's automatic perpetual calendar. It is now redressed with a dial drawn from Patek's most modern era, with a deep blue soleil finish, a punchy Patek signature and gently exploded date numerals. Secured with a solid 18ct white gold folding Patek clasp, this rarity is presented complete with the original polished wooden box, certificate, stylus, winder, wallet and additional case-back.
