WELCOME TO CHERRY TREE PRIMARY SCHOOL " A MESSAGE FROM OUR HEADTEACHER MRS GRAHAM At Cherry Tree, we place children at the very heart of primary school life. I believe every child deserves the opportunity to achieve their full potential in an engaging, safe and inclusive learning environment. We not only foster a love of learning but also ensure they have the skills to become independent, caring and confident members of society. Everything we do is guided by our values and vision – created by our whole school community. “Bringing out the best in each other as we blossom and grow” This Statement authentically reflects the ethos that runs within our school and the enrichment activity we undertake outside of the school. I also believe children who are happy learn most effectively, which is why we pride ourselves in nurturing learning through a broad curriculum, that is both exciting and adapted to meet the needs of all our children. Bringing out the best in each other also relies on solid partnerships between the school, the local community, our children and their guardians. We value the contributions made by our parents and carers in their child’s education and our door is always open to discuss any matters of concern. At Cherry Tree, we welcome the opportunity to showcase life at Cherry Tree through pre-arranged visits. Please call the school office to arrange a school visit. Mrs Graham OUR VISION VALUES & ETHOS Our vision is for all children to love coming to school and to be excited by their learning. We want all our children to flourish and to have their individual talents recognised and celebrated. Our staff are passionate about providing an education that equips our children for the challenges of a fast-paced, ever-changing world. We also believe that building self-confidence, independence, tolerance and resilience are crucial life skills that need to be fostered from an early age, and we focus on these areas in addition to the National Curriculum. OUR MISSION “Bringing out the best in each other, as we blossom and grow” KEEP UP TO DATE LATEST NEWS SNOW! Jan 18, 2024 This Week we had the rare appearance of snow! The children really enjoyed themselves. Jude and her therapy dogs; Otis and Honey, did too. OUR RECENT OFSTED REPORT Jan 15, 2024 Our school was recently inspected by Ofsted. Read the full report here. PIRATES OF THE CURRY BEAN Jul 27, 2023 On Tuesday the 11th and Wednesday the 12th of July, we had the immense pleasure of watching the KS2 production of Pirates of the Curry Bean; a tale of flatulence, denial and sheer dumb luck - with ample amounts of incompetence thrown in for good measure.
