     I really needed assistance in selecting inserts for my shoes as my arches
   had fallen.  Robert B-444 @ the store was incredibly kind, professional and
   patient with me.  He had me step onto the machine which measured where most
   of my stress on my feet were located.  It was an eye opener for me.  I went

 *   My orthopedic MD suggested different shoes and gave me a referral to
   Footware etc. My first pair - what the Dr ordered - didn't work for me. They
   were rocker bottom.  I returned them to the store a few days later and we
   found the perfect shoe that served the same purpose for helping my foot and
   toe issue.  I had the same salesperson both times and he really knows the
   inventory.  He was so helpful and patient.  I spent an hour there each time.
    I got some special insoles too that help as well.  I got great service and
   recommend this store. P S I tried two other orthopedic shoe stores while I
   was deciding about returning my first pair.  So glad I rejected those and
   went back to Footware etc. They had the right choice. Customer service was

     I have had the best experience at this location and decided to go back and
   buy another pair of walking shoes on 7/2/22. I was greeted by a lovely sales
   rep named Hailie. When I first walked in it was not too busy so she helped me
   find the perfect Brooks shoes that fit my needs. She was so knowledgeable and
   so intentive and I really appreciated her helping me as It started to get
   really busy. Sales reps like Hailie are why I continue to return to this
   store to purchase the walking shoes I need for my job.

     My husband and I started buying here a couple of years ago. They have a
   good selection of comfort shoes and the customer service is excellent. The
   sales person was very helpful today. He recommended some insoles for my
   athletic shoes and offered to trim them. Super happy with my new shoes and

     I am a long time shopper of the Encinitas Footwear Etc. I am so very
   pleased with their recent move around the corner!!! They now have a HUGE
   selection of shoes. Apparently, the move now offers more storage room, hence
   more options for us as the customer.  Yahoooo!  
   I must say that Kendra is the reason I look forward to my return next month!
    She was so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about all of the various
   options available for my specific orthodic needs.  I appreciated her friendly
   approach not just with me, but with every customer who walked through the
   door. Kendra is a true gem!   :-)

     Update my mom was visiting last month and she was in dire need of a pair of
   cute black shoes that she could wear to a wedding and could stand in for a
   long time.  In other words, comfortable and good looking shoes.  She thought
   of Nordstroms but I said Footwear Etc was the best place in the area (or the
   internet) to find what she wanted.  We went to the store in downtown Palo
   Alto and she bought not one, but two beautiful pairs of shoes.
   She's still raving about her shoes.

   me with my purchase without making me feel pressured. Honestly at other
   businesses these days I've encountered SAs that are lazy or have major
   attitudes so I was very pleased to find such friendly service. Will

     I was looking for good walking shoes for travel.  I visited a specialty
   store in Old Town and got no service and no information.  Then I went to the
   Encinitas location of Footwear etc and found Kristy.  She greeted me promptly
   and asked what she could do for me.  She knew everything about every shoe in
   the store - the unique benefits and limitations of each brand and style.  She
   also knew how to tie the shoe laces to give additional support or stretch.
    My friend and I got several pairs of shoes and Kristy facilitated the order
   of one on backorder.  Kristy was so knowledgeable that I'm going to go to her
   for all my shoe needs.

     Excellent saleswoman (Yasemen) helped me for 25min to find a great set of
   sneakers to fit my feet and activity goals.  The shoes were transferred to
   San Carlos and I picked them up today!  Knowledgeable staff and it is great
   to be able to wear Women's Size 10-1/2 instead of settling for an 11 - most
   women's shoes stop1/2 sizes above size 10.  Footwear has a big selection of
   shoes available in 10-1/2!  Yasemen steered me to a set of about 20 choices.
    Thank you Footwear Etc for having a big selection of quality shoes and for

     Wasn't planning on going here because you can get stuff cheaper online and
   larger stores. But decided to give it a try.
   Christine was simply outstanding. Greeted me promptly. Got the details of
   what I was looking for and the background of my foot problems. Enquired if I
   use any special insoles (very thoughtful, I do!). Got my shoes on, tested out
   a couple of sizes. You could tell she was focused on making sure I got the
   right product. She was understanding, empathetic, polished, courteous, quick
   (without being hasty) and seemed to want to find me the right product.
   She did. I bought. I paid. And happily.
   
   Can't remember the last time I encountered such an exceptional salesperson.

     UPDATE:  I got a wonderful response from the store that returns my faith in
   Footwear, etc.  I'm changing this rating to reflect the way the store treats
   its customers. We'll chalk this one up to those occasional mistakes we all
   make.

   Normally, I am a big fan of this Footwear, etc.  But...  we bought a pair of
   Tempur-Pedic slippers about 3-4 months ago, and they started falling apart.
    I took them back to the store, not sure what I was expecting, but what I
   *wasn't* expecting was...
   
   The salesperson looked at them and shrugged.  He suggested I go to the
   Tempur-Pedic web site.  When I asked if the store could help in any way, he
   shrugged again, and said "not really for such a low end product."
   
   I'm sorry, but I don't consider $80 slippers to be low end anything.  With
   this kind of customer service, I might as well shop on-line.
   
   I certainly hope this is an anomaly.  Everyone can make a mistake or two.
    Let's consider this the first one.
