SOLAR ENERGY

Solar energy is radiant light and heat from the Sun harnessed using a range of
ever-evolving technologies such as solar heating, photovoltaics, solar thermal
energy, solar architecture and artificial photosynthesis.

It is an important source of renewable energy and its technologies are broadly
characterized as either passive solar or active solar depending on the way they
capture and distribute solar energy or convert it into solar power. Active solar
techniques include the use of photovoltaic systems, concentrated solar power and
solar water heating to harness the energy. Passive solar techniques include
orienting a building to the Sun, selecting materials with favorable thermal mass
or light dispersing properties, and designing spaces that naturally circulate
air.

The large magnitude of solar energy available makes it a highly appealing source
of electricity. The United Nations Development Programme in its 2000 World
Energy Assessment found that the annual potential of solar energy was
1,575–49,837 exajoules (EJ). This is several times larger than the total world
energy consumption, which was 559.8 EJ in 2012.

 * PLANS TO BEAM SOLAR GENERATED ELECTRICITY WIRELESSLY FROM SPACE TO HOMES –
   BBC NEWS

Space bosses are to investigate whether electricity could be beamed
wirelessly from space into millions of homes. The European Space Agency will
this week likely approve a three-year study to see if having huge solar farms
in space could work and be cost effective. The eventual aim is to have giant
satellites in orbit, each able to generate the same amount of electricity as
a power station. ESA's governing council is to consider the idea at its Paris
HQ on Tuesday. Please subscribe HERE http://bit.ly/1rbfUog #Space #Science

 * SOLARIS: PREPARING FOR SPACE-BASED SOLAR POWER

To prepare Europe for future decision making on Space-Based Solar Power, ESA
has proposed a preparatory programme for Europe, initially named SOLARIS, for
the upcoming ESA Council at Ministerial Level in November 2022. Space-based
solar power is a potential source of clean, affordable, continuous, abundant
and secure energy. This basic concept has been given fresh urgency by the
need for new sources of clean and secure energy to aid Europe’s transition to
a Net Zero carbon world by 2050. If Europe wants to benefit from this
game-changing capability then we need to start investing now. Learn more:

 * SENDING SOLAR POWER TO EARTH

As space becomes more accessible and many industries start to move over to

 * DID A MARS SIZED PROTOPLANET'S COLLISION SHAPE EARTH'S FORMATION 🌍💥

In this video, we delve into the dramatic event where a Mars-sized
protoplanet sideswiped Earth, an impact that played a crucial role in shaping
our planet's early development. Here's a breakdown of the real-world
applications and examples of how energy and momentum from such colossal
collisions influence planetary formation: Formation of the Moon: The
collision is believed to have created a massive debris cloud around Earth.
Over time, this material coalesced to form the Moon. This hypothesis, known
as the Giant Impact Hypothesis, explains why the Moon's composition is
similar to Earth's outer layers. Molten Earth and Geological Evolution: The
immense energy from the impact would have rendered the collision zone molten.
This led to significant changes in Earth's crust and mantle, cont...

To prepare Europe for future decision making on Space-Based Solar Power, ESA has
proposed a preparatory programme for Europe, initially named SOLARIS, for the
upcoming ESA Council at Ministerial Level in November 2022. Space-based solar
power is a potential source of clean, affordable, continuous, abundant and
secure energy. This basic concept has been given fresh urgency by the need for
new sources of clean and secure energy to aid Europe’s transition to a Net Zero
carbon world by 2050. If Europe wants to benefit from this game-changing
capability then we need to start investing now. Learn more:

In this video, we delve into the dramatic event where a Mars-sized protoplanet
sideswiped Earth, an impact that played a crucial role in shaping our planet's
early development. Here's a breakdown of the real-world applications and
examples of how energy and momentum from such colossal collisions influence
planetary formation: Formation of the Moon: The collision is believed to have
created a massive debris cloud around Earth. Over time, this material coalesced
to form the Moon. This hypothesis, known as the Giant Impact Hypothesis,
explains why the Moon's composition is similar to Earth's outer layers. Molten
Earth and Geological Evolution: The immense energy from the impact would have
rendered the collision zone molten. This led to significant changes in Earth's
crust and mantle, contributing to the differentiation of Earth's layers and
influencing volcanic activity. Energy and Momentum in Planetary Formation:
Understanding where energy goes during such collisions helps scientists predict
the outcomes of planetary impacts. For instance, it helps explain the
redistribution of materials, heat generation, and the formation of secondary
bodies like moons or rings. Modern Analogies: Studying impacts in the early
solar system helps scientists understand current celestial events. For example,
impacts on moons like Europa or Enceladus could create subsurface oceans,
offering insights into potential habitats for life. Space Missions and Planetary
Defense: Knowledge from these impacts guides modern space missions that explore
asteroid impacts and prepare for potential future collisions with Earth,
highlighting the importance of tracking and possibly deflecting hazardous
objects. Transcript: We remember that Yeah this Mars-sized protoplanet
sideswipes Earth Right Actually some of it keeps going but the debris that gets
kicked up There's energy that got deposited not only in the breakup of the
protoplanet but got deposited into Earth itself rendering that whole area molten
It's all about the energy Where's the energy go Momentum matters also but the
action is where the energy goes Yeah Follow the energy Follow the energy You'll

Learn more:

As space becomes more accessible and many industries start to move over to
more renewable energy sources, the idea of a solar power farm in space could
be the next step in creating a cleaner future. A solar farm in space could
also be used to power electric airplanes in mid flight, reducing the need for
heavy batteries and allowing them to fly much further. Thanks for watching

This led to significant changes in Earth's crust and mantle, contributing to
the differentiation of Earth's layers and influencing volcanic activity.
Energy and Momentum in Planetary Formation: Understanding where energy goes
during such collisions helps scientists predict the outcomes of planetary
impacts. For instance, it helps explain the redistribution of materials, heat
generation, and the formation of secondary bodies like moons or rings. Modern
Analogies: Studying impacts in the early solar system helps scientists
understand current celestial events. For example, impacts on moons like
Europa or Enceladus could create subsurface oceans, offering insights into
potential habitats for life. Space Missions and Planetary Defense: Knowledge
from these impacts guides modern space missions that explore asteroid impacts
and prepare for potential future collisions with Earth, highlighting the
importance of tracking and possibly deflecting hazardous objects. Transcript:
We remember that Yeah this Mars-sized protoplanet sideswipes Earth Right
Actually some of it keeps going but the debris that gets kicked up There's
energy that got deposited not only in the breakup of the protoplanet but got
deposited into Earth itself rendering that whole area molten It's all about
the energy Where's the energy go Momentum matters also but the action is
where the energy goes Yeah Follow the energy Follow the energy You'll know
what happened That's cool All right So that's about it All right there's been

To prepare Europe for future decision making on Space-Based Solar Power,
ESA has proposed a preparatory programme for Europe, initially named
SOLARIS, for the upcoming ESA Council at Ministerial Level in November
2022. Space-based solar power is a potential source of clean, affordable,
continuous, abundant and secure energy. This basic concept has been
given fresh urgency by the need for new sources of clean and secure energy
to aid Europe’s transition to a Net Zero carbon world by 2050. If Europe
wants to benefit from this game-changing capability then we need to start

As space becomes more accessible and many industries start to move over to
more renewable energy sources, the idea of a solar power farm in space could
be the next step in creating a cleaner future. A solar farm in space could
also be used to power electric airplanes in mid flight, reducing the need
for heavy batteries and allowing them to fly much further. Thanks for

successful transmission of solar energy from space to earth is
demonstrating new possibilities for the use of solar power. The world's

including a new contactless method for cleaning solar panels that could
increase the efficiency of solar energy use in homes and buildings.

In this video, we delve into the dramatic event where a Mars-sized
protoplanet sideswiped Earth, an impact that played a crucial role in
shaping our planet's early development. Here's a breakdown of the
real-world applications and examples of how energy and momentum from
such colossal collisions influence planetary formation: Formation of
the Moon: The collision is believed to have created a massive debris
cloud around Earth. Over time, this material coalesced to form the Moon.
This hypothesis, known as the Giant Impact Hypothesis, explains why the
Moon's composition is similar to Earth's outer layers. Molten Earth and
Geological Evolution: The immense energy from the impact would have
rendered the collision zone molten. This led to significant changes in
Earth's crust and mantle, contributing to the differentiation of Earth's
layers and influencing volcanic activity. Energy and Momentum in
Planetary Formation: Understanding where energy goes during such
collisions helps scientists predict the outcomes of planetary impacts.
For instance, it helps explain the redistribution of materials, heat
generation, and the formation of secondary bodies like moons or rings.
Modern Analogies: Studying impacts in the early solar system helps
scientists understand current celestial events. For example, impacts
on moons like Europa or Enceladus could create subsurface oceans,
offering insights into potential habitats for life. Space Missions and
Planetary Defense: Knowledge from these impacts guides modern space
missions that explore asteroid impacts and prepare for potential future
collisions with Earth, highlighting the importance of tracking and
possibly deflecting hazardous objects. Transcript: We remember that
Yeah this Mars-sized protoplanet sideswipes Earth Right Actually some of
it keeps going but the debris that gets kicked up There's energy that got
deposited not only in the breakup of the protoplanet but got deposited
into Earth itself rendering that whole area molten It's all about the
energy Where's the energy go Momentum matters also but the action is
where the energy goes Yeah Follow the energy Follow the energy You'll
know what happened That's cool All right So that's about it All right there's

How transmitting power down from space may be our future. Beaming energy
down from satellites in orbit to replace the production of electricity on
Earth may solve many of our problems, and avoid a potential economic or

rectennas may not only be possible, but could be massively profitable in

A +Braveheart+ swingin my sword's a work of art
Every verse I spark, deserve the Purple Heart
You can't get with the, cold temperature
OneBeLo'll turn a wack artist purple like the Arctic Circle
Frostbit from the words I spit
You ain't got enough raps/wraps in your first-aid kit
to treat yourself, too late, you chose your fate
You beat yourself, cumin like you masturbate
And I won't hesitate to embarrass ya
Cause on the microphone you +Do-little+, like Eddie Murphy's character
The only paraphernalia I need to rock the spot
is one hip-hop fan, and it don't stop (it's all I need)
Without a mic, without a beat, or a DJ (I don't need that, I don't need that)
Without a pen, pad, without a blunt, a fifth of E&J (I don't need that)
Without a doubt I still turn it out without a de-lay
On a track to beat your whole team without a relay
Without a problem, so don't expect nothin lesser
Droppin hip-hop, I blow spots like Uncle Fester
[Chorus]
[Raekwon] "Check the ground while my beats just break it down"
[scratched: Binary Star, Binary Star"]
[Raekwon] "Check the ground while my beats just break it down"
[scratched: Binary Star, Bi-Bi-Binary Star"]
[Raekwon] "Check the ground while my beats just break it down"
[scratched: Bi.. Binary Star, Bi-Bi-Binary Star"]
"Ch-Check the ground while my beats just break it down" - Raekwon
"Lights, camera, ac-tion.." {*scratched*: Binary Star"}
"Yo, you gotta respect them"
[Senim Silla]
Don't hate me cause I'm beautiful or cause my show's live
And your jam's a damn funeral, you wack on the rec' of pharmaceuticals
My usual, you may be feelin me
But the feelin ain't mutual, think you can try
sellin nothin short of delusional, many a guy went there
But to no avail, got you all in +check+
My game will never go +stale+, I got "All the Right Moves"
like Tom Cruise and don't know the definition of fail
I'm constantly on the incline, star goal in mind
Get ours in time, my crew bout to shine
on these cats like UV rays so get your sunblock
Bolted down, ain't no way you can unlock
We concoct the rock from explosive materials
Natural born Sillas that commit acts and serial
We're flamin 'em, and workin around like venereal
Binary, the genuine article, reign imperial
[Chorus]
[Raekwon] "Check the ground while my beats just break it down"
[scratched: Bi-Bi-Binary Star, Binary Star"]
[Raekwon] "Check the ground while my beats just break it down"
[scratched: Binary Star, Bi.. Binary Star"]
[Raekwon] "Ch-ch-check the ground while my beats just break it down"
[scratched: Binary Star, Bi-Bi-Binary Star"]
[Raekwon] "Ch-ch-check the ground while my beats just break it down"
[scratched: Bi-Bi-Binary Star"] "As long as you call us your favorite MC"
[OneBeLo]
Yo, I rock jeans, hip-hop fiends (fiends) blow hot steam (steam)
We got schemes (schemes) the terrorist bomb scenes
It's obscene (obscene) the MC who's not seen
I got dreams, like Don King, PEACE
Binary Star hit you like a SWAT team
As you promotin hip-hop with Noxzem' always talkin bout you got some +cream+
You make a better slot machine
I make a better flag cause I stay on top of things
I got the means, to generate lots of screams
Bitin MCs like Tyson in the boxin ring
I told you once before not to push me
Word is +Bond+, I'm like 007 in "Octopussy"
[Senim Silla]
The aqua authors, H-2-O flow
Awful aqua that floods the menstrual
It drowns the underground, give tracks to run around
And mics to squeeze play, exhaust the DJ
All in a day's work, doin my slang thang
"Word Play Expert," the title I maintain
Bullets of prize rhymes, novel idealist
Silla's a realist, microphone check 1-2
and so forth, and use the force
Hold down the fort, represent the North
Hold up the torch, make sure the whole world see this
Might (?) walk on water to make believers
[Outro]
[Raekwon] "Check the ground while my beats just break it down"
[Raekwon] "Ch-ch-check the ground while my beats just break it down"
[Raekwon] "Ch-check.. check the ground while my beats just break it down"
[scratched: Binary Star, Bi-Bi-Bi.."]
[Raekwon] "Check the ground.. check, check, check, check the ground"
[scratched: Binary Star, Bi-Bi-Binary system"]
[Raekwon] "Check, check the ground while my beats just break it down"
[scratched: Binary Star, Bi-Bi-Binary Star"]
