JEFFERSON, LEHIGH VALLEY HEALTH NETWORK SIGN DEFINITIVE AGREEMENT

On May 15, Jefferson and Lehigh Valley Health Network signed a definitive
agreement to combine. The unified system will increase access to high-quality
and affordable care, clinical research and health plan offerings and address
health inequities for urban and rural communities in Eastern Pennsylvania and
Southern New Jersey.

Undergraduate Nursing Scholarships Available


SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE: JUNE 15, 2024

Submit your application for admission to the Jefferson College of Nursing –
Dixon Campus, located in Horsham, PA, by June 15 to receive consideration for
annual scholarships ranging from $15,000-$25,000. Scholarship consideration is
exclusive to students applying for the Pre-Fall & Fall 2024 terms. Contact

DR. SUSAN ALDRIDGE NAMED UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT

Susan C. Aldridge, PhD, an accomplished and widely recognized higher education
leader, has been appointed the first female president of Thomas Jefferson
University. “This is a pivotal moment in Jefferson’s history and Dr. Aldridge is
the best person to usher in a new era for Thomas Jefferson University,” said
Jefferson’s CEO Joseph G. Cacchione, MD.

REFLECTION & EXCITEMENT AT MATCH DAY 2024

After four years of hard work, students from the Sidney Kimmel Medical College
find out where they will complete their residencies. The Class of 2024 has a
unique place in University history, noted during the 2024 Match Day event. They
began their medical education at the pandemic’s uneasy height of summer 2020 and
will graduate during Jefferson’s Bicentennial.

FINDING CALM IN OCEAN WAVES & GALAXIES

Can immersive arts improve well-being? A recent Jefferson installation, 'A Deep
Dive into Calm at Ravenhill Chapel,' was motivated by the question. “As the
technology continues to evolve, we can really push the boundaries for adapting
immersive arts to create spaces where people can just pause, and hopefully
experience some calm,” says Lyn Godley, MFA, a professor of industrial design
and a prolific artist herself.

Craig Griffen, RA, LEED AP, professor of architecture in the College of
