The Linguist has always been part of me...



Since early age, I loved the sound of foreign languages. I loved to watch
Italian cartoons or tried to translate jokes inside Carambar wrappers (a French
candy). Perhaps the reason I ended up studying medicine in French at Geneva
University, where I graduated with the “Swiss Federal Diploma of Physician”.

During my 15 years of practising medicine in the UK, I occasionally volunteered
to translate healthcare reports for the NHS. This has gradually turned into my
new vocation.

Having left the hustle and bustle of London, I now live in Ljubljana, working as
a freelance medical translator, going for long walks through nature with my
Schnauzer Atlas, baking cheesecake and learning Slovene.
