FINANCIAL ANALYST 4

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide financial support and expertise to the Company’s Central R&D Support
Group including financial forecasting, analysis and accounting/technical
support.  This Financial Analyst Specialist will provide direct financial
oversight to over $200M operating and capital budget. With direct access to VP
level executives, this individual provides budgetary oversight as well as
analytical support for management decisions. This role has high visibility with
product group management and offers the opportunity to work cross functionally
with different product groups within the company. 

Develops, interprets, and implements financial concepts for financial planning
and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future
financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes
recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future
requirements and operating forecasts. Performs economic research and studies in
the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements,
investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental
requirements.

 * Manage financial forecast process and reporting:  

 * Manage allocations process to different business units for central R&D costs
 * Coordinate all aspects of financial planning and reporting, Guide and educate
   business partners in the preparation of annual operating budgets. Perform
   periodic updates.
 * Present budget and analysis in a comprehensive and easy-to-understand format.
   Interprets financial results. Assess risks and opportunities. Offer
   suggestions
 * Perform scenario analysis and KPI tracking in support of short- and long-term
   initiatives.

 * Perform monthly/quarterly close processes. Analyze actual operating results
   and identify key financial and operating issues
 * Responsible for Balance Sheet Review process. Prepare account
   reconciliations, account variance analysis, and other schedules as required
 * Assist with requests related to internal/external audits and Sarbanes-Oxley
   compliance
 * Subject matter expert for Central R&D in systems projects eg. Workday
   implementation, SAP Business Planning and Consolidation application and other
   analytics solutions to maintain, develop and improve capabilities of the
   function
 * Participate in ad-hoc projects and deep-dive analyses. Provide insights to
   assist business decision-making
 * Initiate and drive continuous process improvements 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 * Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting required. MBA or related professional
   certification (CPA, CMA, CIA, CA) preferred
 * Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial
   management 
 * Industry knowledge not required, but preferred 
 * Strong financial systems expertise. Familiarity with SAP, BW, Business
   Objects Planning, Workday is a requirement
 * Extremely detail oriented, well organized, high standard of accuracy and
   ability to multi-task
 * Exceptionally savvy at financial modeling skills using Microsoft Excel and
   strong PowerPoint skills
 * Proactive and independent person who identifies issues and drives them to
   resolution
 * Ability to problem solve, deal with ambiguity with a keen and curious mindset
 * Flexibility to manage unplanned requests, prioritize deliverables to meet
   deadlines
 * The person must also be driven to continuously identify and implement
   improvements to processes, analytics, and metrics
 * Solid interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain
   effective business partner relationships at all levels of the organization
 * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Must be able to summarize
   issues / analysis into simple and clear messaging and recommendation for
   senior management
