Customer sent email 1/3/22 about stolen phone while working at ASO store and
she's ASO employee which should be directed to LP for investigation and not
under Claims.





Customer said in her email, "The Detective with the FWPD has requested the
footage from the Burleson store, where it was stolen, and the White Settlement
store.

When the Detective asked for the footage, he was told it was over 45 days after
the incident, which is not true. "



Sent FNT to store ops 139 about customer's issue with stolen phone which her
daughter is an ASO employee.

My daughter is/was an employee of  Academy Sports. While she was working, her
phone was stolen off her person, while she was helping customers. We have filed
police reports, and we have a detective working on the case. We were able to
trace the phone to several locations and found the woman at the Academy in White
Settlement. There is footage of the us and the woman with the phone in her hand
at approximately 9 pm on 12/18/21 at that White Settlement store.. The Detective
with the FWPD has requested the footage from the Burleson store, where it was
stolen, and the White Settlement store.

When the Detective asked for the footage, he was told it was over 45 days after
the incident, which is not true. Then they said, they could not find her on the
cameras for that day. She was working a 12-9 shift, so she was there for 6 hours
before the phone was stolen, so she should have been all over camera footage. We
believe it happened while she was assisting customers on one of the smaller
aisles.

I specifically pointed to the phone in the woman's hand in an attempt to have
the cameras document that she had the phone in her possession. The phone was
ringing and dinging from the find my iphone the entire time we were in the
Academy, so we knew the woman had her phone. It is frustrating that an employee
was stolen from and no one seems to care at all.

If someone higher up than the store director could contact me, I would greatly
appreciate that. My number is 817-929-5096.

My daughter has put in her notice, as she does not feel safe any longer working
at Academy. That is truly sad for any employee to feel that way about a job that
she is working to pay for this phone and for her college education.
