US WARSHIP ATTACKED BY REBELS IN RED SEA INCHING US CLOSER TO WAR

The Pentagon has recently released alarming reports concerning the safety of
American and commercial ships in the Red Sea. According to their statement, both
an American destroyer, specifically the USS Carney, and multiple commercial
vessels have been under attack. This unsettling news could indicate a
significant escalation in the series of maritime strikes related to the ongoing
Israel-Hamas conflict.



The USS Carney is an Arleigh Burke class destroyer, symbolizing the might of
American military prowess. Its presence in the Red Sea was, unfortunately, met
with hostility. While the Pentagon has not yet pointed fingers at the culprits,
the trail of evidence seems to lead back to Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels.
These same rebels have been responsible for launching a series of attacks on
ships in the Red Sea, as well as firing drones and missiles aimed at Israel
amidst their fight with Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

A US official, who wished to remain anonymous due to the sensitive nature of
intelligence concerns, stated that the strike began at 10 a.m. in Sanaa, Yemen,
and could have lasted up to five hours. The Houthis, however, have remained
silent about the incident thus far.



This incident isn’t an isolated one. Earlier in November, the Houthis captured a
vehicle transport ship in the Red Sea off Yemen, which was linked to Israel. The
warship is still being held by the rebels near the port city of Hodeida. Also,
missiles were reported to have fallen near another US warship after it came to
the aid of an Israeli-linked vessel briefly hijacked by attackers.

This marks a worrying trend: the targeting of global commerce as the
Israel-Hamas crisis threatens to escalate into a larger regional conflict. The
Houthis haven’t directly attacked Americans for some time, but this recent event
suggests a concerning escalation in the maritime confrontation.

In response to similar attacks in 2016, the USS Mason deployed Tomahawk cruise
missiles that destroyed three coastal radar installations in Houthi-controlled
territory. The question now is, what will be the response this time?



This incident serves as a significant reminder of the delicate balance of power
in the Red Sea and the greater Middle East. It underscores the importance of
maintaining strong, vigilant defenses to protect American and commercial
interests in the region.

As the situation continues to unravel, we must remain steadfast in supporting
our troops and standing against those who threaten peace and stability. This is
a moment for unity, strength, and unwavering resolve.
