Through our vigorous suite of products and services, we're eliminating the friction inherent in our global financial system — enabling the XRP Staking Platform — a multi-step staking plan scheduled to start this March with a specific trial run. Although other third party staking initiatives have existed in the past - for example XRP Smart Yield from Swissborg or Binance Earn, the current platform sets itself apart by being completely native and user-centric, but most importantly by offering consistently higher yields and a significant sign up bonus. With a reserve of over 5.4 Billion XRP, this initial staking campaign is entirely backed up and guaranteed by Ripple Labs, with rewarding mechanisms created for unified disposal amongst stakers without collision. All XRP staking premiums will be distributed strictly to the staking address, together with additional incentive rewards, added immediately to the staked balance. XRP owners can approach the staking process by connecting their wallets to the official Staking Platform. Eligibility is determined by Ripple internal algorithms and includes several factors - ability to cover the required minimum XRP balance, having a self custodial wallet that is compatible with the Platform, account age and on-chain activity. As for the incentive payout system, the staking ROI is a floating percentage, 12% to 27%, of your current XRP balance and additional returns for those that apply and qualify for the initial campaign. Only the first 10 000 approved accounts will receive higher ROI from staking in the first enrollment group/campaign. While the first wave is running, each XRP staker will also receive additional benefits for early support - a generous reward from the XRP Staking Fund, added directly to each individual address, upon activating staking. Staking XRP is a discretionary, non-binding action that allows you to control your funds at any moment - the procedure does not block or prevent you from using your XRP for any other purpose.
