WORDS AT DAWN – A SIMPLE BLOG Search Primary Menu Skip to content * ABOUT * OPINION * Editor * BLOGS * Life Reports * About Me Search for: ABOUT Amazonia – Words at Dawn is a simple blog that intends to discuss our daily lives, issues affecting our lives, ways of thinking, and actions. Please, read until the end of this page. It is important! However, as I say at the end of each text, or in most of them, I do not intend to be the owner of the truth or convince anyone. On the contrary, I only want to awaken the reader’s curiosity and ability to think for themselves. I must emphasize that I will do my best to address topics that make us grow and believe in life. Because the world is already full of prophets of the apocalypse, it is truly full of them. I am tired to read and watch just news about crimes, tragedies, corruption, etc. However, I will sometimes have to address critical issues, sometimes harshly in page Opinion (Editor Category), but always with some indication of how to deal with these issues without pessimism. Furthermore, it is very important to say that I have no prejudices regarding race, religion, gender, etc. I seek peace! More than that, there is no room for fundamentalism and radicalism here. I do not accept these positions. The world is free; we must be free from these behaviors that only lead to destruction, suffering, and pain. Thus, many of my posts will deal with serious subjects but in a light and even funny way. I will tell stories, most of them true, in which you will see yourself, and I hope some of them be funny for you. There’s nothing better than laughing (if it’s at yourself, it’s even a healing process, seriously!). This will be our journey. We will escape a little from our harsh reality but without alienating ourselves. We will just relax with serious, funny, everyday topics, such as family (this topic is very important), children (even more important), etc. I hope you enjoy Words at Dawn! IMPORTANT Please, reader, note that I am not saint. I have my errors (and I strive against them daily. I will write about them). As I write below, I do not want to convince anyone, and I am not owner the true. I just want to share my experience! My point of view. I repete: My point of view. Think by yourselves. I am not a Messias! Affonso Henriques or Henri Zevi (my nickname), 60 years old, currently retired, but I’m going back to work because the work as a manager that I’ve always had done me good, despite wages here being low and taxes very high. But I forgot that I am also a European citizen. I have Portuguese citizenship. Portugal is a beautiful country! The Famous Statue of Jesus in Brazil at Rio de Janeiro City Finally, about myself, I have a Ph.D. from ESADE Business School & Law, Barcelona, Spain, and MD from Universidade de Brasília – Brazil. I have a beautiful daughter who lives and works in France, another beautiful country as well as Germany, Poland, and EUA. Countries that I lived, visited, and made Academic Speeches (about cross-cultural leadership). Today, I am living in Amazonia. The most poverty Brazil region. Tomorrow just God knows! Wow…I’m writing this intro while listening to Gary Moore (Still Got the Blues for You – beautiful song – Listen it!). Gary passed away in 2023, a fantastic blues songwriter and singer. I love blues. By the way, blues can mean sadness, but the origins of the word and the music come from African slaves in America during the night in slave quarters. They cried with longing for their lands and families. I’m glad that slavery is over… but there is still in some parts of the world – it needs to end. Finally, again, this blog site represents a fresh start in my life after 18 years of pain and suffering. Maybe I’ll talk about it to you. But 18 years were lost. My personal life reports! However, I am optimistic!!!!!! Why Words at Dawn? Because I use to write in this moment. God bless you all, and let’s go on our journey! > I have no intention of convincing anyone. The act of convincing is a form of > colonization of the Other. It’s a lack of respect! (Jose Saramago, 1922 – > 2010). > I am not the owner of the truth; I am far from it! Think for yourselves > (Henri, 1964 – _____) Henri Zevi June 14, 2024 – The Beginning of a New Life First post (soon): The Details (and their importance in a relationship, especially for women). We men have to learn about the women’s details. It makes the difference. The Difference!!!! Believe me!!!!! Ah! In two weeks, I will ask for subscription to help me to keep this site on the air. Do not worry. The subscription form will be at the end of each post and here. If you like this site, its purpose, the posts, you can subscribe. If you can’t subscribe Words at Dawn because your financial situation does not allow, you can read all the post too, if you want. Feel free to subscribe or not. I do it because I disagree that expression SUBSCRIBE TO GET ACESS TO THE REST TO THE TEXT. It sounds to me as an imposition! Moreover, I do not like to use AI. I want that my site/blog grow organically. In this sense, and just if you want Dear Reader, share this site/blog with your friends. I am finishing the subscription form as described above. Sincerely! You can know a little more about me here. My first post (very soon) about critical issues will be here!
