1 2 3 4 5 6 7 I crushed on this random server guy at the waffle place in Manhattan, but I just left without asking his insta or anything. On the next day I visited the place again with my mini skirt and full makeup on (it was around -8 celsius) but he wasn’t there. It was kinda unforgettable experience cuz I had never been aggressive like this before.(don’t reveal my name lmao u can use it anyway) Now I feel embarrassed for some reason every time I pass by this place ❤️🩹 Meeting friend for the first time after years of friendship online and went to restaurants and bars late night. high traffic in Manhattan all the time, but some great places to rest Hover over the squares to glimpse moments in NYC. Subway station smell (stinky smell) - still really impressive :) Going to times square for the first time with friends and feeling accomplished to fulfill one of my bucket list I still remember eating my first New York bagel, so fluffy and better than the ones back home. Ess a bagel and Brooklyn bagel There are many buildings lit up at night One night, after I saw the Phantom of the Opera, I couldn't get a uber so I took the subway, and in that train I met a guy who was trying to touch the passengers by dancing, so I started to change seat to avoid him and switch between different cabins, really scary but actually exciting Rats In the subway, the rat moved freely between the platform and the tracks, which was scary and impressive because it seemed smarter than I thought. bookhunting every christmas break. I basically start in union square and get a snack and then go to rockefeller to all the book stores and look around and buy myself some books as a christmas gift I visited the Time square, Brooklyn, and the Center Park. They all left a good impression on me and I made special memories from the New York City. My favorite memory from the NYC is walking around the streets in Brooklyn and watching the sunset at the Domino park. I have a vivid memory of September 11th. At that time, I was working at Pentagram, with our office located on 25th Street. I witnessed the collapse of the first building from a distance. I remained stuck in the city until late in the afternoon. I don't have a specific moment to share, but I'd like to share my general impression of new york. Walking through the streets of manhattan, sounds of taxi horns, distant hum of subway trains created a symphony that is distinctly new york. I don't think it's just the iconic landmakrs or the skyline that makes new york what it is; it's the small moment in such a big cultural melting pot. nyc seems to have a way of capturing hearts with its indescribable energy. In subway station, there was a woman with a stroller and two strangers walking down stairs with her just simultaneously grabbed the stroller on each side and helped her without a word or a smile. They just went on with their lives once they reached the bottom of stairs. I went to a concert during my first year in NYC. I was still getting used to everything here and felt lonely in the big city. The artist shared some of her experiences with the city and how she loves it and hates it at the same time. But after reflecting on her comments, I think I realized that I actually like this city more than I thought. I was also enjoying these new experiences. When I first went to Dumbo; It was literally the first time I saw a harmony of city and nature. There was cityscape right behind the river. It was just beautiful. maybe it was the first time i visited nyc? i remember sitting in the car and going back to my hotel the 2nd or 3rd night and just looking out the window made me feel so comforted and nostalgic. i was recalling my events of that day, first time visiting soho and brooklyn bridge and it felt surreal because i was coming into terms with how this was going to be my new normal from now. I was walking from the Lower East Side back to Pratt's Brooklyn Campus with my first roommates. We walked across the Brooklyn Bridge at 11pm and at one point I was walking ahead of them. They never told me they stopped and I ended up walking across the whole bridge by myself which was terrifying. First time I arrived to the city for college The craziest people on the subway are my impression of NYC. They do whatever they want to do, wear, say and no one judges them. Sometimes it's scary, but sometimes it brings unexpected joy and fun. Also, it always reminds me that I can also do whatever I want to do! Sunday, Mar 31, 2024 5:38 PM 5th Ave &, E 54th St, New York, NY 10019 As my boyfriend and I were heading home from church, we stumbled upon a trumpeter entertaining the crowd with dancing plush toys. The streets were bustling with activity due to the parade, and amidst the chaos, we found ourselves encountering various performers. Surprisingly, instead of feeling annoyed by the commotion, we both found the day to be remarkably interesting. Monday, Jan 29, 2024 8:53 PM Carnegie Hall It was the day the Boston Symphony and pianist Seung-Jin Cho took the stage at Carnegie Hall. This was my third concert at Carnegie Hall, but the first time I went alone. I wasn't concerned about my seat; nestled beside a pillar in a narrow space, it didn't bother me. After all, I was there to enjoy the performance with my ears, not my seat. Saturday, Apr 15, 2023 4:27 PM Central Park I decided to visit Central Park to catch a glimpse of the cherry blossoms since the weather had warmed up. However, upon arrival, I was disappointed as I couldn't tell if the blossoms had already fallen or were yet to bloom. Despite this, I wandered through the park for about an hour and stumbled upon a lively scene. There were people gathered, dancing, and playing musical instruments. The owner of one instrument generously handed it over to young children, giving them the chance to play together. Their dance wasn't particularly polished, but it was delightful to watch them have fun, even if it meant looking a bit silly. Sunday, Nov 5, 2023 12:29 PM Brooklyn - Clinton Hill As I headed towards my usual cafe where I often get my work done, I couldn't help but notice the unusually pleasant November weather, reflected in the light clothing worn by passersby. Upon reaching the main road I needed to cross to reach the cafe, I encountered a large crowd. It turned out to be the day of a major marathon in New York. Despite my efforts to navigate through the crowd along the path I needed to take, it seemed impossible to pass through the throngs of marathoners. Eventually, I gave up on reaching my intended cafe and instead made my way to Starbucks, where I settled in and got my work done. Saturday, Dec 17, 2022 9:34 PM New York - Flatiron I went to a concert during my first year in NYC. I was still getting used to everything here and felt lonely in the big city. The artist shared some of her experiences with the city and how she loves it and hates it at the same time. But after reflecting on her comments, I think I realized that I actually like this city more than I thought. I was also enjoying these new experiences. Friday, Nov 25, 2022 7:57 PM New York - West Village I visited my very first jazz bar with two of my friends. That day, a piano solo was played. We each ordered a glass of wine and listened to the music. I got a little tipsy at the end of the performance and left my jacket on top of a candle that was on the table, and it got burnt and left a mark on it. I still recall that day whenever I wear the jacket. Sunday, Oct 30, 2022 12:39 PM Washington Square Park My friends and I headed to Washington Square Park to catch the Dog Day Halloween Parade & Costume Contest. I couldn't contain my excitement seeing all those adorable dogs decked out in costumes. After the parade, we hung around to listen to the musicians playing in the park. Saturday, Sep 23, 2023 3:32 PM New York - Chelsea My friend and I went to Chelsea and explored the various galleries hosting exhibitions. Everything was going great until it started raining heavily. I had a yellow umbrella, and my friend was wearing yellow rain boots, which we thought was quite cute. We ended up in the MoMA cafe, where we ended up spending nearly $20 just on a cup of tea and coffee. Friday Nov 24, 2023 3:32 PM Coney Island Beach Spontaneously, my friend and I decided to head to Coney Island one Friday. We grabbed sandwiches and hopped on the subway for an hour-long ride, despite the lingering winter chill. I anticipated a quiet scene, but to my surprise, the beach was bustling with people admiring the waves. We stayed until sunset. Saturday Oct 28, 2023 11:58 PM The Brooklyn Mirage I went to the Brooklyn Mirage for Halloween. The venue was packed with people, and there were multiple stages set up. I found myself more focused on observing the crowd rather than enjoying the music and the event itself. Wednesday Feb 22, 2023 11:24 AM MoMA I visited MoMA to see 'Unsupervised' by artist Refik Anadol, which uses artificial intelligence to interpret and transform art. The museum was packed with visitors eager to see the artwork, and everyone was snapping photos and videos of the exhibits. The artwork was captivating, and it got me thinking about how different museums must have been before advanced technology, considering both the artwork and the way people interacted with it relied solely on traditional methods. Sunday Dec 18, 2022 1:42 AM Brooklyn - Clinton Hill The day before my flight, I went to a concert with my friends. After the show, we decided to hit up a bar. Inside, people were dancing on stages, and we got caught up in the excitement. Unfortunately, I got a bit too carried away and ended up missing my flight after getting drunk. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Share Project Current Page Share Tweet Pin Linkedin Embed Close Report Embed Responsive 512×383 288×236 Back
