FLEXIBLE HOST OPTIONS! 👑 (NEW PLANS)

 


NEW

 

 

We've implemented changes to our subscription plans that'll allow you to easily
add additional Hosts to your account—giving you much more flexibility within a
single company account.

This change follows a previous update we made—the ability to easily add multiple
team members, with granular control over which members occupy Host spots.

These two additions will help teams manage and consolidate multiple accounts
into one, allowing all members within their organization to run events from a
single account (with even more improvements planned for the future).


NEW PLAN CHANGES

Our new plans will factor in the number of Hosts (in addition to the room size),
starting at a minimum of one, and which you can increase/decrease as needed.



Our Growth plans offer up to 5 Hosts, with Premium providing for users that need
even more (the Starter plan will remain capped at 1 Host).

We've also retired our Business plans in favor of offering additional room size
options (500- and 1000-Attendee Room Sizes) at the Growth-level.


NOTE FOR LEGACY USERS

We'll be working closely to migrate all existing users to the new plans. This
migration process will ensure that all users are moved to current plans,
allowing them to receive future feature updates correctly and have access to add
additional Hosts to their plan.

The vast majority of existing users will experience no disruption to their
current subscription, as we'll be moving them to completely equivalent plans.
For those that are affected, we'll be personally reaching out.

SUPPORT UP TO 6 PEOPLE ON STAGE! 🙌

Our team just updated the room layout for all Demio plans to support 6 stage
spots (from the previous 4 spots)!

Expanding the stage size will provide you more flexibility on your events. You
can now have up to 6 people on stage at the same time! 🎉



The increased stage size will be automatically applied to all upcoming events.

TRANSLUCENT STAGE CARDS, NEW AVATARS, AND MORE!

We've pushed a few small improvements: Translucent Stage Cards, New Avatars, and
an Updated Session Status




TRANSLUCENT STAGE CARDS

Based on some recent feedback, we've updated the stage cards within the room to
use a translucent background when users aren't sharing their cameras. This
change should provide a more branded appearance to the cards, allowing the
background color to shine.


NEW AVATARS

We've added new placeholder avatars for people who don't have a Gravatar
associated with their email address. The new style opts for a more neutral look
to ensure that it works well with any/all brand colors used for your events.

Note: You'll find the new placeholder avatar styles in the room, directly in the
account (for event admins and team members), as well as on public
registration/replay pages for featured presenters.


UPDATED SESSION STATUS

Finally, to add more clarity around sessions, we've improved the language around
a session's status—precisely when the session has not started.



Any admins that join the room will find a "Not Started" status message in the
Event Details button and within the helper text used across the room.

UP TO 4 PEOPLE ON STAGE (ALL PLANS!)

While this was already the standard stage size for most plans, we needed to make
a few key updates to our room architecture for 1000-attendee room sizes.

We're happy to stay that a stage size of 4 is now the standard across all plans
(and all room sizes) on Demio.

USE A CUSTOM DOMAIN FOR ALL PUBLIC PAGES! 🌐

Add your own domain, or sub-domain, to Demio in order to provide an even more
immersive brand experience for your audience. 🔥



Once connected, and set as the default, your domain will be used for all event
pages (room, registration, recording, and more).

Here's an example in the room:



What about existing links?

We've made it simple to add a custom domain, while preserving all existing links
(registration, join links, etc) that have already been shared. This way, you
don't have to worry about any broken or dead links.

Any connected domains that are not set as default will automatically redirect to
whatever domain is set as the current default.

Already on the Premium plan? Simply add your domain from the settings area to
get started.

INVITE YOUR ENTIRE TEAM TO DEMIO & ENABLE HOST ABILITY SEPARATELY 👨‍👦‍👦

Now, you can invite as many team members to your Demio account as you need,
regardless of what plan you're on. No additional cost.

You'll still be limited by the number of Hosts on your account. However, with
the new updates, you can easily enable or disable Host Ability from any team
member based on available spots.

 * Team members without Host Ability will be able to login, as well as create &
   manage events.
 * Team members with Host Ability will be able to do all of the above, as well
   as Host events, and they will occupy a Host spot on your plan.



👉 Jump into your account to invite your team.

Additionally, you'll now see yourself as the account owner listed on the team
page. You can even disable Host Ability from yourself and enable it for a
different team member.

UPCOMING PLAN CHANGES

If you currently have any team members who are not hosting events, we recommend
disabling Host Ability from their account within the team area.

In the near future, we plan on making some adjustments to our current plans &
pricing, specifically around additional Hosts. We'll be reaching out to you
prior to any changes if you're affected by them.

We just launched the highly anticipated room updates! Included are the
following…

🧑‍🏫 Stage Management: Improved control of who's shown in the room and when.
We've also increased the webcam limit for most plans.

✨ Dynamic Layout: The new room will automatically use unique layouts optimized
to fit each individual's viewing experience.

🔦 Spotlight: A whole new way to keep the focus on the content. Hosts can
spotlight materials/screenshare at any time.

🎨 Custom Room Background & Icon: Customize the background color of the room &
upload a company icon — head over to your branding settings to personalize that
now.

🗂 Materials List: A better approach to managing your slides & videos. In the
room, Hosts and Presenters will find a dedicated Materials button at the bottom
toolbar.

And finally, a completely upgraded room experience, several improvements
under-the-hood, and much more!

[ZAPIER] PUSH REGISTRATIONS TO SERIES EVENTS WITHOUT UPCOMING SESSIONS

We recently pushed an update around Series events that allows users to capture
registrations 24/7, even if there are no sessions scheduled.

This new functionality worked as expected for Demio forms but users reported
that registrations would fail through Zapier if there were no upcoming sessions.
With this fix, we've improved our Zapier app to allow the same functionality
supported by Demio forms.

ENHANCING HOW REGISTRATIONS WORK FOR SERIES EVENTS! (AND MORE) 💪

 


IMPROVEMENT

 

 

We've improved Series events to allow you to continue capturing registrations,
even when there aren't any upcoming sessions.



We've also made several additional updates that should improve how you and your
team capture & view results for these series events. You'll now be able to:

 * always access/manage registrations for your series events — everything from
   accessing their join link to canceling their registration altogether
 * keep a pulse on your event by assessing your series insights at all times
 * more accurate CSV reports & activity log data

ACCESS BILLING INVOICES! 💸

 


NEW

 

 

We've added billing invoices to your billing settings You'll be able to view and
access complete invoices for any past payments made for your Demio account.



We've also incorporated the ability to set a billing address for your profile
(shown on all future invoices), including your billing name and a tax
identification number, if applicable in your country.
