GRACENOTE IMPORTANT ALERT – Invalid Warnings

Who Should Read this Notice?
All customers that access Gracenote OnAPI.

As a result of our August 8 OnAPI release, invalid ratings and warnings are
being applied on some programs. Values in this parent element:
on\programs\program\ratings\ are impacted.

These incorrect values are being included in data for programs that don’t
already have warnings such as news, news related talk shows and sports.

Examples of the invalid warnings that can be seen are Explicit Language, Adult
Situation, Nudity, Strong Sexual, and Violence.

We are treating this with the highest priority. Our Engineering team is working
urgently to correct the situation and estimates to have programs updated and
this issue resolved today.

An update will be provided on Wednesday August 9.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.


Q - Is there any pattern or specific list of stations or OnAPI users?
A - No, this impacts various programs and schedules and is not specific to any
OnAPI user, market or key.

Q - What can we do in this situation?
A - Please process new updates as normal as the programs are updated and invalid
warnings are removed.
