Independent Software Engineer, etc.

New York, New York. b@bradley-griffith.com
Twitter, GitHub, Are.na, Instagram

I began operating independently after nearly a decade working as a Full Stack
web and mobile engineer within startups, and with the desire to expose myself to
a wider landscape of engineering and experiential challenges through client
cases.

Without being constrained to any particular technology, I specialize in working
closely with clients to sniff out core desires and solutions for end users —
whether "end users" be internal teams, external users or customers, or whatever
else. I prefer to use my time collaborating with teams of all backgrounds, size,
and level of establishment.

Available for work in 2022. Contact for any reason.

Ruin
Personal
Development, Design
2022

Ruin is an in-house tool I use to collaborate with clients on GLSL shaders. It
allows clients to adjust the many variables that often go into such visual works
in order to refine the final results to their needs in an approachable way. It
is named "Ruin" because the clients are ruining my hard work! <3

Spike Magazine
Client
Development, Consultation
2022

Worked with the team at Spike Magazine to conceptualize, design, and develop
broad solutions for a new initiative. This work is ongoing and confidential, so
cannot be shared publicly at this time.

Channel
Client
Development, Design, GLSL Shaders
2021

Proposed brand identity for Channel, a decentralized media organization and
platform allowing creators to work collectively, bundle their streamable
content, and maintain their distinct communities.

My work was largely focused on the development of GLSL shader-based moving
imagery and direction for their upcoming website, in addition to the web
development thereof. This work remains ongoing and confidential, but I am
sharing some of the shader-based work I developed for them at the time.

NM WEBDEX Y2K20
Collaboration
Development, Design, Project Management
2021

The NM WEBDEX Y2K20 records the meanings of New Models’ vernacular as
collectively defined by those within the community. It may largely be understood
as a companion piece to the language outlined in the physical NM CODEX Y2K20
printing.

As with NM CODEX Y2K20, this was a project lead and developed solely by the
contributions of those within the New Models community, and required the
coordination of numerous designers and engineers, each through their own ability
to contribute, and on a very tight deadline for its showcasing in the KW
Institute for Contemporary Art's "Open Secret" program.

A collective distillation of 2020, filtered and produced by the New Models
community.

I was a contributing writer and member of the design and ideation teams, but
lesser-so than many others. <3.

iOS application built for Union, a live-event scheduling and streaming service
working closely with Yoga studios and instructors to stay organized while
delivering in-person, live-streamed, or pre-recorded lessons to their students.

The mobile application allows instructors to select their upcoming classes in
order to initiate live-streams that may be viewed live or shared later. The
application was designed and developed by myself, and written in Swift/SwiftUI.

Greenhouse is a company offering HR technologies for companies looking to scale
their teams or improve their hiring process.

I was an early engineer at the small, San Francisco-based, "Onboarding" startup,

periodically being tasked with the design and development of larger new
initiatives as lead architect.

Silicon Feelings

Silicon Feelings was a quiet, but interactive, 3D globe of Emoji being tweeted
across Earth in real time.

EnemyGraph
Collaboration
Development, Design
2012

EnemyGraph was an app that allowed individuals to have a separate profile on
Facebook for which the purpose was to rank, describe, and generally expose the
things one might “hate”. Prior to being shut down by Facebook, the former Vice
Presidential Candidate for the Republican Party, Sarah Palin, called the app
evil on The Today Show.

Undetweetable
Collaboration
Development, Design
2011

Undetweetable was an archive of errors and regrets - an app built with the
intent of forcing individuals to confront the reality that their digital
mistakes would not be forgotten. It exposed the deleted tweets of any individual
added to, or searched for, on the platform, and explicitly rejected any requests
made by individuals to have themselves removed. It was quickly shut down.
