Dear Lewis,

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine 18 months ago caused a massive humanitarian crisis
not seen since World War II.

In gratitude for the extraordinary response by modern-day heroes, the 2023
Genesis Prize was awarded to Jewish activists and organizations helping the
people of Ukraine and standing up for freedom, human dignity, and justice. Click

Over the past eight months, The Genesis Prize Foundation highlighted the work of
Jewish activists Barbra Streisand and Liev Schreiber and made grants to 19
nonprofit organizations, calling attention to their work in social media posts
seen by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.
