CAPE POINT

ONE POINT. ONE MILLION POINTS OF VIEW

Escape to Cape Point, where the land meets the sea in a majestic embrace

Rugged rocks and sheer cliffs towering more than 200 metres above the sea and
cutting deep into the ocean, provide a spectacular background for the park’s
rich bio-diversity. Cape Point falls within the southern section of Table
Mountain National park. The natural vegetation of the areas – fynbos – comprises
the smallest but richest of the world’s six floral kingdoms.

Take a ride on the Flying Dutchman funicular to the steps of the new lighthouse
and look-out points above. Take in the unobstructed vistas from your vantage
point while discovering the historic lighthouse on the rocky ledges below. With
boundless fresh air resulting in an appetite, enjoy a delicious meal paired with
incredible views at the Two Oceans Restaurant or grab a bite to eat at The Food
Shop and find the perfect picnic spot in the park. Savour this memorable
occasion by purchasing a few mementos and souvenirs that will forever remind you
of the beauty found here.
