Swiss company Micro announced the launch of Microlino, a small electric vehicle
with a curb weight of about 1,093 pounds. The company launched the vehicle on
June 1 with a starting price of approximately $25,900.

Microlino AG founders Oliver and Merlin Ouboter stated in a press release that
the electric vehicle, which was engineered in Switzerland and made in Italy, is
their contribution to a sustainable solution in urban areas.

Categorized as a four-wheeled motorcycle, the Microlino measures about 8.2 feet
long, five feet wide, and five feet tall. It also boasts an estimated range of
nearly 142 miles, a maximum speed of 56 miles per hour, and takes only four
hours to charge on a standard household socket, according to the Micro website.

The website also claims that the Microlino delivers 12.4 kilowatts of power and
can accelerate to 31 miles per hour in five seconds.

The car’s size can accommodate a driver and a passenger and features over eight
cubic feet of space for various cargo, including shopping bags, suitcases, and
beer crates. Additionally, its compact size only requires a third of the parking
space compared to a traditional vehicle.

Micro equipped the vehicle with an aluminum outer skin, a steel body, and an
independent McPherson suspension to provide a go-kart feeling.

Interested drivers can book test drives and place orders at www.microlino.se.
Deliveries and test drives are currently restricted to the Stockholm area. Micro
plans to eventually extend the vehicle to other major Swedish cities.
