MY NAME IS GUYOKAI

My Name Is Guyokai, Pt. 2 by GUYOKAI

Well, well, well. I’ve decided to surprise drop my 4th album today! Welcome My
Name Is Guyokai to my musical discography. To be honest, this album was
originally going to be an EP with roughly around seven tracks. However, I
enjoyed most of the songs (that were going to be cut from the EP) and seeing how
they came out, I had enough material to make it a full album.

Like most of my discography so far, it’s vastly different from anything released
so far. I’ve always wanted to make a hard-hitting, downright filthy, and dynamic
Drum & Bass album. Listening to Joe Boyd Vigil’s Toonami - Deep Space Bass
soundtrack as a teenager back in the day really left an impression on me. This
is what came from my aspirations. It’s full of heavy beats, blasting bass, and
chopped and screwed vocals. It’s fast, manic, and also surprisingly short enough
to enjoy in one sitting.

The album is now available on Bandcamp, SoundCloud, Apple Music, Spotify and all
other music streaming services.

WELCOME TO THE NEW HOME OF GUYOKAI.

Well, hello there. Welcome to the brand new home for my music! No longer will I
be using a custom CMS for my website. Instead, I will be using Tumblr going
forward.

The reason being is that for the past month or so, my site was targeted with
fake bot traffic which resulted in my website being down and my site itself
being temporarily suspended from my old host.

I’ve migrated the majority of my website here. I’ve never really used Tumblr
before but seeing how easy it was to redirect my domain to it and customize the
theme to look like my old website, I’m very pleased.

GUYOKAI is a electro project formed by Jordan Cable in 2018.

The music incorporates notable nostalgic sounds from the 90s and 00s, meshing
them with modern hip-hop, pop, and electronica elements.

The visual side includes imagery of the early internet and the cosmos.
