EARN WHILE YOU LEARN

A career in a commercial construction trade begins with an apprenticeship. An
apprentice will learn both in the classroom and on the job site since they are
employed with a contractor at the same time. They receive wages and benefits and
-- in many cases -- credit hours towards an Associate's Degree. Those who
complete apprenticeships become journeypersons. The Northwest Ohio Construction
Education Center, is an excellent resource for career and apprenticeship
opportunities as well as Toledo Construction.com. The average starting wage
package is $35 per hour, including great benefits!
