The Pé Descalço
THE LARGEST FORRÓ SCHOOL IN THE WORLD

One of the biggest forró schools in the world, with 12 units: Belo Horizonte/MG,
Contagem/MG, Juiz de Fora/MG, São Paulo/SP, Niterói/RJ and London/EUR. She is
frequently invited to give workshops in Brazil and around the world. Pé Descalço
was born through a voluntary initiative, it developed supported by the methods
of the São Benedito Forró Workshop, created by Professor Ronald with all his
charisma, strength and energy. It started on April 12, 2003 and in 16 years of
existence we have taught our dance style to more than 11,000 students. Today,
with more than 1000 students enrolled and a team of around 65 employees, we
remain proud of our work.
How does the class work?

Our methodology has 8 stages: warm-up, stretching, “facing the mirror”,
introducing new students, “steps and resources”, interaction/training and
relaxation and errands. We currently have classes for beginner, intermediate and
advanced levels which are divided into 7 graduation necklaces, transparent,
white, blue, advanced blue, black, advanced black and red, which are earned in
the Necklace Exam, making it one of our most important events. Exams take place
every 3 months for beginner levels and every 6 months for advanced levels. The
exam is carried out to maintain the organization and the high level of quality
of the dance and classes, helping the student to assimilate the movements and
features according to each necklace, which we believe is best suited for them.

HOW IT WORKS?

Have you never danced forró and want to learn? The Pé Descalço Online course is
for you, a beginner student, who doesn't know anything about dance or who only
knows the "basics". We have transformed all the teachings given in our
face-to-face classes to an online format, so you will learn positions,
movements, steps and variations in an uncomplicated way and without secrets,
from absolute zero and without leaving home. And the best: without having to
have a partner or dance partner; Pé Descalço Online allows you to learn to dance
forró on your own.
