KEYNOTE INTERVIEW- DIGITALIZATION AND FUTURE OF ENERGY

Digitalization is one of the biggest changes sweeping through the energy
industry today, and Microsoft is one of the key players in that revolution. How
has the energy crisis affected the industry’s adoption of new technology? What
is the future of digitalization as energy companies respond to a new set of
pressures from regulators, investors and customers, including ESG requirements
and demand for lower-carbon fuels? And how does Microsoft balance having some of
the most ambitious emissions goals in corporate America with continued support
across the energy sector?

PANEL DISCUSSION: WHAT DOES THE NEW GEOPOLITICAL ORDER MEAN FOR ENERGY AND
COMMODITIES?

In a world of soaring energy prices and an energy crisis compounded by war in
Europe, a new market context has emerged for decision-making about energy across
the sector. This session is an opportunity to hear from top Wood Mackenzie
analysts and other leading experts about the key developments that will shape
the future of the industry for the coming year and beyond. It is a chance to
gain insights into how to succeed in these changing conditions.

INSIGHT: THE NEW DYNAMICS FOR NORTH AMERICAN GAS

Henry Hub natural gas prices have risen to levels not seen since 2008, when the
shale revolution was just starting to ramp up. Yet the increases in North
America pale in comparison to the surge in global gas prices following Russia's
invasion of Ukraine. In the current context, US gas production has shown a muted
response, leading to uncertainty around whether high prices are here to stay.

We will explore the impact of rising prices on production and supply processes,
as well as the greening of production and market expansion with sustained growth
in LNG exports, explaining what these changes mean for North American gas
markets.

PANEL DISCUSSION: CARBON CAPTURE, USE AND STORAGE (CCUS): FROM POTENTIAL TO
POSSIBLE

There is high interest in carbon capture, use and storage (CCUS) to reduce
emissions in North America, from operators across the sector. North America has
huge potential to scale CCUS on a ‘source-to-sink’ basis: it has concentrated
areas of difficult-to-decarbonize emissions, supportive policies, and attractive
storage reservoirs. In both the USA and Canada, there have been law and policy
shifts that incentivize these developments. In this session, we will take a deep
dive into the promise and possibility of CCUS development, exploring the
conditions and impetus required to drive this technology forward in the region.

KEYNOTE INTERVIEW: DOES EXPLORATION HAVE A FUTURE AT A COMPANY WITH NET ZERO
GOALS?

bp’s commitment to net zero emissions is the most aggressive of the oil majors,
and it is planning for its oil and gas production to shrink 40% by 2030. Given
these goals, what is the role and the future of oil and gas exploration at bp?
And how has that role shifted over the past year, as security of supply has come
to the fore in a tumultuous geopolitical environment?

PANEL DISCUSSION: HOW TO DESIGN THE IDEAL US UPSTREAM PORTFOLIO

A remarkable divergence is emerging among US upstream portfolios. Some companies
have established single basin dominance through consolidation, with production
volumes now exceeding 500,000 kboe/d from a single project. Others have
emphasized diversification, resulting in key assets across multiple plays. Some
companies differentiated even further by scaling back shale to focus on Gulf of
Mexico or conventional international projects. We will explore the pros and cons
of each strategy, offering insight into the dynamics that shape decision-making
in upstream portfolio development.

PANEL DISCUSSION: OPPORTUNITIES IN LOW-CARBON HYDROGEN

The US is a global leader in low-carbon hydrogen with 9+ Mt of the pipeline of
planned projects. Texas, California, and Louisiana are at the forefront of
change. On a national level, there is a surge of interest in hydrogen, with the
Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure Act setting in motion an
investment wave. Existing hydrogen end-use sectors including ammonia and
refining are considering low-carbon hydrogen supply and new end-use sectors such
as power and transport are also emerging. Wood Mackenzie experts and industry
leaders will discuss how to scale up and finance hydrogen projects and explore
the potential role of hydrogen for companies across the energy sector.
