COMMUNITY CARE PACKAGE DONATIONS THROUGH HELPING FARMS FEED FAMILIES (501C3)



We all know someone who is struggling, food insecure, or unable to leave their
home due to the current pandemic. We, at Tanaka Farms, are donating Community
Care Packages. For every package donated by a customer, we will match that
donation…and then some. Thank you for your generosity and support during this
difficult time.


COVID-19 UPDATE

COVID-19 Protocols for Pumpkin Patch: Here at Tanaka Farms, we take the safety
of our guests and employees very seriously. For the last year and a half, we
have been very diligent in following all of the guidelines for COVID-19
prevention. Thank you to all of our guests for also following the guidelines by
wearing your masks and maintaining social distancing while visiting the farm. 

We are following, and are in compliance with, all federal, state, and local
guidelines for safe operations. As all of our activities occur outside, we are
no longer requiring that our guests or employees wear masks. As a business that
caters to families, often with young children who are not yet able to get the
vaccine, we understand that many of you still may feel more comfortable wearing
masks. This may even include some of our employees. We invite you to continue
doing so, and please ask that those of you who do feel comfortable without a
mask, refrain from commenting or making remarks about those who prefer to mask
up. We also kindly ask that those who are not fully vaccinated, please wear a
mask while visiting Tanaka Farms.

Overall capacity at Tanaka Farms in Irvine is limited to a maximum of about 6500
(and about 4000 at Hana Field) throughout the entire day. On average, most
people spend an average of 2 to 3 hours at the farm. Which averages to about
1200-1500 people at any given time throughout the day at our outdoor 20-acre
venue. There is plenty of space to maintain social distancing.

For the general public, we are still limiting capacity on the wagon rides to
about 25 per departure, but we don't count children 2 and under as they
generally sit on their parent's laps. Our tractors pull 2 wagons. So, it breaks
down to 12-15 total per wagon. Full capacity is 60-80 per departure, or 30-40
per wagon, so we have cut our capacity down to about 45%. (For private group
reservations and field trips that are all in one group, we limit the capacity to
40 persons per departure.) Each wagon measures about 12 feet long and 8 feet
wide. There are 4 rows of benches on each wagon. In "normal" times we can fit 8
to 10 people on each row, however in order to maintain social distancing, we
place each group in a separate corner, or in a triangle formation, or one group
at the rear and one in the front of the wagon, to ensure distancing between
households/groups.  

At this time, we kindly ask that you stay together with your group, but keep
your distance from others. Thank you for your cooperation.


RULES & REGULATIONS:

PETS: Other than ADA service dogs, pets are NOT permitted at Tanaka Farms. We
wish that were not the case but food safety regulations, as well as our
insurance policy, do not allow it.  

Public Drinking Water is Not Available. Bring your own or bottled water is
available for purchase at $2.00 bottle.

Dress Code: FOR YOUR SAFETY we recommend wearing comfortable shoes that you
don't mind getting dirty. Please avoid wearing sandals/flip-flops, open-toed
shoes or high heels. 

Insurance Policy: In complying with insurance policies, and for your protection,
PETS and WAGONS are prohibited. 

Please use our parking lot only.  Do not park in any of the surrounding
neighborhoods or businesses. Thank you.

Disclaimer: In the event of bad weather, unforeseen crop loss, new regulations
due to Covid-19, or in any event we have to cancel, we will send you an email
and refund your money as soon as possible.   

NOTE: All persons above the age of 2 years are required to pay in order to
participate. Children 2 years and under are FREE but do not receive any items. 

 


BLIPPI VISITS TANAKA FARMS!





Tanaka Farms Walk-Up Produce Market Stand & Gift Shop is OPEN daily from 9am-5pm

All visitors to Tanaka Farms for Tours and Events must have a reservation. No
reservation is needed to visit the Produce Market Stand & Gift Shop.

We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

REFUND POLICY: We will happily refund or exchange any produce or merchandise
that does not meet our quality standards. We kindly ask for 48 hours notice on
cancellations or exchanges for all events, including U-Pick Activities and Farm
Tours. Tent Rental fees are non-refundable.
