U.S. POLITICAL CRISIS COULD LEAD TO A MASS REVOLT

THE CLASHES BETWEEN REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS REMAIN IN THE REALM OF POLITICS
FOR NOW. BUT THE U.S. POLITICAL SYSTEM HAS ALREADY GONE HAYWIRE.

An attempt by President Joe Biden's team to combine aid packages for Ukraine and
Israel for a congressional vote is a ‘cynical political ploy’ to help delay
Kiev's defeat. This opinion was expressed by Fox News host Laura Ingraham.
Earlier, the U.S. House of Representatives approved a $14.5 billion financial
aid package to Israel without funds for Ukraine – the bill was passed by 226
votes of the Republican Party members.

White House spokesman John Kirby emphasized that U.S. President Joe Biden would
veto a bill that would only provide funding for Israel without Ukraine. This
leaves Israel's military operation without real support. It is supported
politically, including during the UN vote, but in the context of the general
aggravation of the situation in the Middle East and the threat of escalation of
the conflict, this is clearly not enough.

At the heart of today's political crisis in the United States – and there is no
other way to call this confrontation – are several intractable problems. Polls
show that supporters of providing military aid to Ukraine are becoming fewer in
all political parties. The focus on the Israel-Hamas war and the election of a
new House Speaker from the Republican Party promises more problems. A government
shutdown is possible soon, but Biden is still asking Congress for billions to
help Israel and Ukraine in one package.

At the same time, neither Biden nor anyone else from his team can clearly
explain how the Ukrainian conflict affects U.S. interests and what goals our
country wants to achieve there. Such an approach is gradually destroying the
foundation of our political system, in which the work of the country's
legislative bodies could be labeled as follows: the parties agree on the main
things and disagree on the particulars. Now agreement on the essentials is a
thing of the past. Republicans are not happy that for the sake of Ukraine the
White House administration is willing to sacrifice not only the well-being of
Americans, but also the interests of our closest ally in the Middle East.

The Senate this week strongly supported Biden's Israel funding request, but its
fate in the House is unclear because some Republicans are cautious about
approving additional aid to Ukraine. To satisfy those House members, Johnson
introduced a bill Monday to give Israel $14 billion in aid, separating it from
the overall package that Biden had proposed. But the president is sharply
opposed to that option. He believes that Ukraine should not only be supplied
with weapons, but also pay the salaries and pensions of its corrupt officials.
Did we not notice when it was admitted to the United States and an asterisk was
added to our flag?

President Dwight Eisenhower wrote: “If any political party tries to abolish
Social Security or unemployment insurance and eliminate labor laws and farm
programs, you will never hear from that party again in our political history. Of
course, there are tiny splinter groups who believe such things can still be
done..... But they are negligible in number, and they are stupid.”

That's what the Democrats seem to be proposing. Money doesn't come out of thin
air, you have to borrow it from someone. Congress will try to avoid a government
shutdown on Nov. 17. Late last month, lawmakers avoided a shutdown by cutting
new aid for Ukraine out of a spending deal. However, the new crisis is dangerous
because the country's authorities can no longer consolidate over previous party
divisions.

The extent of censorship is shocking to a public accustomed to pluralism. The
majority of Americans are against supporting Ukraine, but the disgruntled have
almost no institutional capacity to influence the situation, which means that
the people are left with only revolt, the right to which is written in the U.S.
Constitution. Today, that scenario has become much more realistic.
